@gauderbock
I just read over on Vi Control that Eleanor erroneously received an early update alongside SynthV 1.8.0b1. The update included vocal modes too. It got pulled and Volor just released a statement on Twitter, so it looks like the update will still be available soon.

Incidentally, richiebee over on VI posted a demo of the Natalie Voicebank using the new engine which, to my ears at least, is astoundingly real and full of emotion. See what you think...

I agree completely. Not only does Natalie sounds like a RL singer, she sound like a good singer!ZincT wrote: Fri Nov 11, 2022 6:56 pm Incidentally, richiebee over on VI posted a demo of the Natalie Voicebank using the new engine which, to my ears at least, is astoundingly real and full of emotion. One important caveat, though. She was manually tuned by richiebee, using custom tuning, not the 'Instant Mode' button. You still have to know something about singing, in order to extract emotion that rings true.
If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Very true. Instant mode does give "instant" gratification, but I often find the need for manual tweaking to perfect the vocal performance.Spitfire31 wrote: Fri Nov 11, 2022 8:43 pmI agree completely. You're welcome.
Also, a bit out of the blue Eclipsed Sounds are releasing a new male voicebank Asterian...
Sounds like quite a deep voice!

Wow, Asterian has real character and sounds great. It's a welcome change from the other male banks out there.

Thanks for the heads up, ZincT!
Just had a – partial – listen to the new Asterian demo 'song'.
Let's just say, at the other end of the scale from my hoped-for Brett Sparks-like voice for blues, roots and country ballad style. No purchase.

Yeah, the new "song" demo is pretty awful imho.Spitfire31 wrote: Sat Nov 19, 2022 10:34 am Thanks for the heads up, ZincT!

It would have been much more informative to release a few song demos in different styles. Maybe they could have given beta versions of the voicebank to some talented VS users (like those on that VI thread) to make a variety of demos.

Over at VI-Control people are going absolutely nuts over the quality of SynthV. Seems like here don't. But I must admit, the new voice pack 'Ninezero" is pretty damn convincing for a synthesized vocal:

Pretty impressive. I'm still getting good results out of the much older Eleanor Forte AI pack, seems like things have cranked up a bit since then.

SynthV completely changed my music life!!
I am working on songs made like 15 years ago which never found a singer or a vocal line.
now i'm using SynthV as singer, and i'm writing lyrics with the help of chatGPT. The reults for me are impressive...
here there are some of my works:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1U1g_zV ... share_link
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yX1WqL ... share_link
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1t_4IuX ... share_link
all are more or less works in progress, maybe need some better mix (suggestions are welcome!
)
I am using Solaria, Kevin, Ninezero and Asterian, while Mai is somwhere as backing vocals in some songs.
