Upcoming Synapse OB-Xa: Obsession

I am testing and/or using the upcoming OB-Xa plugin since a while now and really love it.
So far i already created more than 150 patches with the plugin and a current version of them was sent to the developer.

Two of those patches better be named: 1) Jump and 2) Tom Sawyer.

So far i already created more than 150 patches with the plugin and a current version of them was sent to the developer. Until official release (no, there is NOT an official date yet...) i might even reach or surpass an amount of 200 patches.

Many of those patches do make use of advanced/additional features that were not included in the real OB-Xa. I am not allowed to talk about details concerning the advanced features yet.
To be honest i am already so much used to certain advanced features of the plugin that programming a real OB-Xa might be a bit disappointing in comparison (while i admit i had never used the real one...).

Don't make all the patches, yet, I want to buy that synth in order to make a sound set for it

Yes, launching a synth plugin these days might seem a bit futile, but then again, I suppose the German government is happy about every citizen that does not lose their job, but continues to pay taxes on their income.
And programmers are in the lucky situation that they can work from home. So why wouldn't they continue to do their job?

i did TS, .. saw it on a video (no idea if will be in factory bank, but I'll be giving away all my patches anyway when it's released)

I havent seen one called jump, but no doubt someone will do it

i assume someone will do the factory bank too, presumably the bloke who owns the original (so as to compare rather than guess)

I'm like 99% joking BTW. Those are just the only two songs that I can think of off the top of my head that use the OB-X/a/8. I think Prince used them but I couldn't name an iconic Prince synth-patch from those.

Besides some other Synth Brass patches actually i did one called "Don't Jump".

AFAIK the original Tom Sawyer patch was from an OB-X and not OB-Xa/OB-8 which technically is quite a big difference as the OB-X is based on a discrete SEM design and not on CEM chips like those other 2 OB synths.

yeah, jump was the only one I knew.... prob for the best, doesnt distract you when you are making sounds yourself

Would be weird if it wasn't. Both Dune 3 and The Legend are scalable.

And this is just from artist perspective, now think of people who build those stages, take care of sound at those festivals, catering, bookings managers, artists managers and whole music industry infrastructure.

OK, I think we might be up to 0.5% now, which leaves 99.5% ripe for new product.

But if you lost your job you are in odds of having one because of competition from other people who has lost their job, so even if you have money and if you understand that your survival is first, you dont have full support from the goverment

Don't you? Here in Australia, the Govt has doubled unemployment benefits, to $550 a week, and is paying businesses $1500 a fortnight (two weeks) to pass on to workers instead of having to stand them down. $1500 is about 3/4 of my full wage (after tax) and I could easily get by on that and have money left over for a new toy or two.
