The other two ones will deliver some gems for sure, but not every preset is my cup of tea.![]()
Not too bad for 450 quality presets.
Massive X 1.6.1 update (September 2025)!

Not too bad for 450 quality presets. It will be $33 for me and is indeed tempting.
I got two packs from the previous drop too, so if I get all of these 3 packs, total presets will be 750 from just Expansions!

Sorry. Wasn't clear. I mean Massive X for the demos. I have not seen an NI demo for it that makes me say "buy it".LoveEnigma18 wrote: Tue Aug 25, 2020 5:27 pmThat's great! How many presets from Mechanix and Moebius do you roughly like or find usable?rezoneight wrote: Tue Aug 25, 2020 3:17 pmI bought all three because I had a e-voucher sitting around. Drive definitely the most useful for me and love what i've heard so far. Actually like a lot of the sounds in Mechanix too.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Tue Aug 25, 2020 12:18 pm So, did anyone get any of the 3 new Expansions?
Drive sounds the most useful for me, after that maybe Moebius a little bit.
I am in the same boat with a voucher in hand, but just wondering if it's worth spending that extra even for that good a price considering only Drive might be the most useful one. Perhaps I can just get Drive for now and get other two when I have a voucher later or during the Thanksgiving or New Year sale when they have the holiday voucher.
Do you mean original Massive? You don't like it?rezoneight wrote: Tue Aug 25, 2020 4:13 pm Honestly one of the worst synths I've bought as far as demos go.
Anyhow, still going thru the presets. Just bought late last night.

My opinion:
Massive X has had kind of bad luck with the marketing (too early, too limited demos...)
But it's sounding gorgeous and is mighty.
Therefore I don't regret to have it in my arsenal.
Quite contrary, it's just a killer synth imo.

Yes, I quite agree with you. That said, the first audio demo "Destiny" did impress me.rezoneight wrote: Tue Aug 25, 2020 7:28 pm

Okay, I might get the bundle, or at least the Drive Expansion shortly.

just about to pull the trigger...
can these expansions be easily identified in the browser?
(like 'New in 1.3')

Better yet, I prefer to use Massive X in Komplete Kontrol due to the not so good Massive X browser. You can browse by banks there too and additionally favourite your presets.
I am about to pull the trigger too. Can someone convince me there are some good sounds in Mechanix and Moebius? I mean any sounds that can be used in a generic way instead of just glitchy, experimental, random stuff that will just stay unused.

And so, I ended up buying only the Drive Expansion (at least for now, will only think of others during year end sale).zeep wrote: Wed Aug 26, 2020 4:25 pmThis.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Wed Aug 26, 2020 9:25 am ... Man, I love how Massive X sounds. My only annoyance is the GUI issues specific to Intel graphics.
As a side note, undo and redo is a must! I hope they consider it for the 1.4 update.

Thanks for the report! I was eyeballing all the Massive X presets but holding back with purchasing. Not really impressed by the demos, but still interested. With all the massive x sounds so far, i think I share your sentiment.. There are awesome sounds but few are really good for everyday projects.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Wed Aug 26, 2020 4:45 pm And so, I ended up buying only the Drive Expansion (at least for now, will only think of others during year end sale).I was just scanning the Massive X library presets and those from Expansions Rush and Scene, which I got earlier, and there's a lot of awesome sounds already available. Although I feel it lacks good bread and butter presets in pads and leads department (quantity wise).
