"I assume you know you can change the order of what shows and set some to always be open."

That has no impact on what I depicted; I have the Instrument Channel Inspector set to "always" show Fader and Inserts.
Also see the gear icon, "Settings".

Inserts hides Fader; Fader hides Inserts. One thing hides the other.

That is if it showed only slots that are used +1? for instance?

Hi
My reply was to jancivil, I did not see your post while typing :)

For me the perfect scenario is to show only the loaded slot and one empty slot and auto populate as plugins added.(You have this option In the mixer so the function is there)
You can not do it in the inspector and I do not see the benefit of having 14 empty insert slots there.
This way we can have more space for other things in the inspector and do less drawer opening closing. Maybe I should get used to use the mixer more like you because with Studio One I am very used to do a lot of things from the inspector without going to the mixer at all and I am missing the same workflow but I think I should adapt the Cubase way.

:) I know I was just butting in :)
I sent you a pm... But how you put it above may serve the purpose.
As per pm, with your permission I would like to copy and paste this elsewhere.

jancivil wrote: Sun Nov 22, 2020 5:10 pm So it's a weird difference we're looking at, baffles me anyway. If I saw that I would feel the same!
I see you use one section at a time. So this is not a problem for you.
Yes if you click on any part, the others are collapsed but if you use command click(Mac) on the second section you keep the first one open. So you can have both sections open (for example inserts and sends-check the attached picture)at the same time. [...]
So what I say is; I want to see the Fader, Inserts and Sends at the same time but because of the empty slots of inserts and sends taking up the whole space, I can not do it in Cubase Inspector.
I see. Ok, my display is tall enough to see the Fader (set now to show on top) and all of inserts, or all of Sends but only two of these at once

Yeah, and it could be something they need to see.

You question the colour or that it is dotted or its purpose?

Everything above it is pre fader, every insert below it is post fader.

Well, you do want the Fader at top if you want to see it and Inserts or it plus Sends.
I don't actually mix in Cubase, I mix by automation in VE Pro; until I render, then I do want to see inserts in Inspector but yeah, I don't live in there.

Cheers

That is one thing I would look at in the mixer. I've never been that far down in those slots

Upgraded to Cubase 11 recently. So far, absolutely stable. 10.5 was also stable for me as well. I've been wanting a feature for scales in key editor, so I'm glad that finally made it in. This probably shouldn't have been $99, but I don't make the rules. Overall, I'm fine with it.

Why does my Cubase 11 crash frequently? How are you doing with this? I really love this program, but these things piss me off. Problem in windows 10?

no crashes here. windows 10. a plugin? drivers? more info, when you need a solution. specs of system, which windows 10 version (i.e. 1909 or 2003 or 20H2). it can be a plugin, for instance biotek2 crashes my cubase, the problem is: biotek2, bug confirmed, update still not here. but..

it can be anything... bad memory, or a driver that isn't correctly installed. or ... or ...
