One more little gem in this community of artists.

Post

Voted, although Soundcloud objected to me commenting towards the end.

I have voted. The strongest round i have listened to, there are some phenomenal songs/music this month!

I have not left comments, sorry. I don't have things to say. Sometimes LESS is MORE ... Thanks for all your comments and feedback on my track.
Only one thing ... Kyles track touched me ...simple and yet elaborate.

DoctorBob has finally voted ... only 3,4,5 from me this time which reflects the quality of tracks. I really couldn't bring myself to spread the vote ...

A hard round to judge though as I said before ... not knowing many of the synths, it's hard to know how easy or hard the sounds design was ... but, that said, there's a lot of really good sounds out there.

Voted here too. Found out exactly like you DrBob !
Cheers to everyone !

Voted. I think I've listened all tracks at least 3 times on different days. Good luck!

Hi everyone, fantastic tracks by all this month, but I'm abstaining/recusing my myself from voting (via DQ) due to a shocking lack of knowledge about what I'm supposed to be judging in many of these works - i.e., the use of each synth. As my comments no doubt demonstrate, I just don't have experience with some of these methods (such as FM) and haven't even heard of half of these synths, let alone tried them. Especially the hardware synths. I mean, I'm basically a guitar player who dabbles in various other instruments (such as soft synths) out of curiosity, ffs :hihi: Reading about them online just isn't adequate for me to estimate the effort required to produce these terrific sounds, and it just isn't right for me to judge when there are prizes involved, in case it's close at the top. Yes, I should have thought about this before starting this month's challenge...sorry about that! I'll avoid the open format in future (until I gain expertise) so that it doesn't happen again. Cheers :tu:

@immanencer - it's OK to comment on what you hear, and vote on what you like. You made a great track alongside all the others and I for one would be disappointed if it was a DQ.

In terms of the capabilities of the different synths, honestly, I would bet that just about everyone feels the same as you, and so their votes are going to be more skewed towards what they hear and like this time round.

I chose a synth which I had not used before instead of taking a well known, mature and capable synth to realise my track. That was MY challenge, might be MY mistake , but what the heck, I just wanted to put out a track and hope people like it, not expecting to be anywhere above maybe half way up the rankings!

I agree with Doctor Bob on his comments:

@immanencer The rules do not state how the tracks are to be judged, so vote by whatever criterion you choose.

This month the quality of the tracks are very high, one of the best months that I've heard. Good job everyone!

I voted, didn't left any comments yet but going to do it this month. So many great tracks! Especially I was blown away by tracks by Yadrichik_Chaya, bh9090 and zachy9 - these are at a whole another level!

Thank you very much! :D Your track in return made a huge impact on me (obviously!) - forgotten feelings! ;) And one of my favorites this month - I will start working on my ”same same but different” demo track from 2017 into a proper song thanks to you! 8) I actually made I think 3 more entries this month (one 100% Boss SY-300 triggered by just guitar - one very experimental one and one with the Boss-SY-1000 - but decided to leave the first one as my entry so I'm really glad you liked it. :tu:
