I want the Powertran Transcendent 2000, just because no-one else does.
It wasn’t especially good, had one oscillator and was a British kit-build. But a) it was the one my school had where I learned synthesis (I then taught the teachers); b) Joy Division had one so it now has cred and c) IIRC Thomas Dolby brought one back to life having found it in a skip.
Those were the days you kids get off my lawn etc

I had to look it up:dreyam wrote: Tue May 09, 2023 4:02 pm Okay this ain't so much some predictions as a wish list, I guess. I recently sold off my (very rare) Korg PS3100 (absolutely huge sound and very unique), so it would be awesome if Arturia would take on a recreation of the PS series, maybe the massive PS3300 (essentially three 3100s in a single unit.)
The PS3300 is even more crazy, lol. Certainly a fun synth! The PS-3100 Analogue Synthesiser has monstrous polyphony - one built-in VCO, VCF, VCA, and EG for each of the keys on the keyboard for a total of 48 synthesizer circuits and polyphony!

I'd like to see new versions of the ARP, Moog Modular, and Minimoog, in that order. As for new things, surprise me

If you want to explore more, Full Bucket make very good free versions of the 3100, 3200 and 3300, certainly fun synths worth checking out.nanostream wrote: Tue May 09, 2023 6:39 pmI had to look it up:dreyam wrote: Tue May 09, 2023 4:02 pm Okay this ain't so much some predictions as a wish list, I guess. To be fair I think the sounds themselves are perfectly fine (don't think I've used the V2 ones yet). I really dislike the subscription model though, and they seem very overpriced compared to TAL & Arturia (selling the 60 & 106 as two separate full-price VSTs seems like an odd choice). I also found them oddly resource hungry (though I'm running them on an M1 which may be an issue)Fleer wrote: Tue May 09, 2023 5:41 pmI'm quite pleased with their latest version, especially the V2 of their legendary synths. The circuit mod and condition parameter are great.mmccarthy wrote: Tue May 09, 2023 5:32 pm Shame, as there are some wonderful sounds there but I absolutely despise Roland Cloud.
I already had all the emulations I needed with offerings from TAL, Arturia & PG-8X (which sounds much better than Roland's Zenology model expansion & the JX-08). The D-50, JV-1080 & JD-800 would all be nice to have of course. I guess one pro of the subscription model is that I can pay $10 or something for a month and get the sounds I need then cancel the subscription.
I guess despise was maybe too strong a word in retrospect! It's nice to be able to buy a month's worth of access, but I'd rather just have it there all the time and it kind of feels like they've inflated their lifetime key prices to keep people on subscriptions instead.

Oh there's the nostalgia hit! Do you need Reason for this or is there a sort of Player version? (I'm totally ignorant about Reason....)Gosh wrote: Wed May 10, 2023 8:07 amhttps://www.reasonstudios.com/shop/rack ... dent-2000/noiseboyuk wrote: Tue May 09, 2023 6:33 pm I want the Powertran Transcendent 2000, just because no-one else does.

There used to be a Reason Intro version but this is not available any longer. If you have no problems with a subscription based model you could try Reason+ for one month for 1 euro.noiseboyuk wrote: Wed May 10, 2023 9:15 amOh there's the nostalgia hit! I originally posted it just to be contrary, but it actually would be quite nice to have something gnarly and simple like the 2000 in the V Collection.

I did download Full Bucket's PS series and yes, they are good approximations. They wouldn't fool anyone in an A/B comparison, though. I think it'd be great if Arturia took them on.Zipede wrote: Tue May 09, 2023 9:50 pmIf you want to explore more, Full Bucket make very good free versions of the 3100, 3200 and 3300, certainly fun synths worth checking out.nanostream wrote: Tue May 09, 2023 6:39 pmI had to look it up:dreyam wrote: Tue May 09, 2023 4:02 pm Okay this ain't so much some predictions as a wish list, I guess. Couldn't agree more!!mmccarthy wrote: Tue May 09, 2023 5:32 pmUnlikely to happen as the samples will be under copyright. I definitely recall finding a D-50 sample pack that was taken down due to Roland threatening legal action on that basis.dreyam wrote: Tue May 09, 2023 4:02 pm Oh, and the Roland D50. Roland's own Cloud version is a pale imitation at best.
Only real options are either the Roland Cloud version or the D-05 Boutique. I was after some D-50 sounds and ended up just picking up an MC-101 as it had enough of the D-50 sounds I was after (I wasn't planning on actually playing around with the D-50 controls so not missing out there).
Shame, as there are some wonderful sounds there but I absolutely despise Roland Cloud.
