Can you sign a blanket clearance form that states that you have all needed permissions that can be viewed upon request? I guess that would make you the "agent" for lack of a better term. Maybe then we could still send them to you, but things could move on a bit faster. Some sigs will take a while, coming from overseas. Just a thought.

Sure, I *could*, but you have to understand the position I'm in as "agent" at that point. If I do that, then why would people feel compelled to send me a signed release of liability. We might end up with some loose ends, which is not what we want.koolkeys wrote:Can you sign a blanket clearance form that states that you have all needed permissions that can be viewed upon request? Hence, every artist on the cd needs to mail me a hardcopy of the forms so the involved parties are not liable for the artists' work. I know it seems a little paranoid, but put yourself in my shoes.
That said, I will work with Duplium so we can meet our deadline, but regardless, I need those forms.
And it's not just for me...these will cover everyone involved in the project (project coordinators, Duplium, cdbaby, xRAVENx, kvraudio, etc.).

I don't have a printer, Paul. But, I have friends with printers and I also have a print shop down the street where it will cost me less than 10 cents to print the forms out. We are in an age of technology and if you have internet access, then you are within range of a printer. It's a small price to pay to help folks that don't have food and clean water handy at the moment.manytone wrote:Or what about from guys with no printers handy at the moment?

oops, sorry. for "company" i wrote "none" and for "job" i wrote "university student"... i have already mailed the forms today.freeztar wrote:I just recieved a good question via email, so I thought I'd share it with you all in case you were wondering the same.
For the duplium form, there is a field titled "Company". I chose to fill this in with "Chrysalid:Musicians for Katrina Relief". For the field titled "Job Title", I simply put "artist". It should not matter too much if you put something else and have already mailed the forms away, but for those that have yet to fill theirs in, let's use this format for consistency purposes.

That'll be fine as long as your name and the name of the song, along with your signature is on the paper.

Printed and signed, now I just need to go home and find Freeezey's address on my home PC...

Paul - your track can be on it, but we do require these 2 forms to be filled in and submitted by everyone who worked on the song. In case of your track I'm assuming that'd be you and Dave.

The name of the track goes in the "Materials" box on the Duplium form, if I'm not mistaken.
