(This is for Windows 7. In Windows 8, I don't know the full path, but if you do search in Run and type "Services" it may do the job)DrumAddict wrote:but unfortunately here , Windows 8.1 64 bit
Go to Control Panel\System and Security\Administrative Tools and select Component Services.
Then select Services (local). Look for PACE License Services and click over it with the right mouse button. Choose Properties. If the Startup Type is set to Automatic (which is the default) change it to "Automatic (delayed start)". This should correct your problem.
PACE is still doing a lousy job in Windows.

In case it doesn't work my advice is to use the download from ilok website which contains an uninstaller which cleans everything
then install it back.
http://installers.ilok.com/iloklicensem ... rWin64.zip
HTH
then install it back.

I just checked, and there is a simpler way. Just click on the search and type "Services", then choose the application with the cogwheel icon. Then you can proceed by looking for PACE...DrumAddict wrote:thank you fmr , i will check

@cris_core
Apples and oranges...
@4:03, yes you can, just right click the oscillator tab header and choose the oscillator type. It keeps the sample

Falcon 1.1 is crashing my Ableton Live 9.6. I'm on PC, Windows 7. I can't send a crash log at the moment but will do asap if it's not something you're already aware of.
Thanks

Cheers cris, I 100% agree with you about Falcons factory library, it is very weak compared to other instruments.
What makes things worse is UVI has many library's for sale at a high price, I see no reason why they could not have taken some patches from all those library's and included them in falcon.
(Just not that bagpipe please)
UVI please take note and use some of that wealth of content you have to make Falcons factory library great.

I am also of the opinion that Falcon needs a larger factory library. Who actually created the Mach 5 library? Would it not be possible, the Mach 5 library available for Falcon users carry on even if no user of Mach 5?

M5 sounds were made by UVI and AcousticSamples.
Falcon is more oriented towards sound design than traditional instrument playback so it didn't make sense to bundle such sounds.
Still Falcon comes with a 100$ voucher for UVI sounds so you can choose what you actually want instead of the same sounds available in all rompler/samplers and that you probably already have.
We plan to improve Falcon factory soundbank over the time just like we did with 1.1 but there won't be bread and butter acoustics sounds in those.

Regarding IRCAM Stretch freeze, I was able to reproduce it using 96khz samples.
I've contacted the IRCAM guys about this.
I suppose people experiencing this are using as well non 44.1khz samples ?
Thx

I quite like many of the 1.1 sounds.
But I really, really, really miss tags.
It's kind of crazy, that you have Falcon, capable of layering about anything, and then you can't search the soundbank properly. The sounds can vary so much ... just having "Lead" or "Pad" is not even close enough to sort them properly. Each sound needs to take a variety of tags as well, since they can be several things at once (pad, glassy, bright, fast attack whatever). I find it close to impossible to navigate the library sensibly atm. Sure, the basic directories help, but that's not even remotly enough to classify a vast audio lib inside a hugely creative synthesizer providing so much different sounds.
I realized that when I went through all the default sounds, because whoever made the sounds tried to use all kinds of things Falcon provides in one sound. As a result, there's a lot of sounds that are warm and glassy, slow and fast etc at the same time.
I know the current data structure is not made for tags. Well ... change it
