I bought my SA from a local authorized dealer. Out the door was $700 with case. That was several years ago.
I've got three Godin's all purchased new and the only one that cost over a grand A 1996 Godin LR Baggs model. You would cry if you played the neck it's so thin Even an ibby wizard neck can't compare to it. Hoestly the sound and feel nothing like later "acoustcasters" that followed. I was offered three grand two years after I bought it. Now 16 years later they go for 500 used.

That's a fine looking guitar!hibidy wrote:I went to go get a box to ship my squire jazz bass at GC and the just got in one of these
This photo doesn't even begin to show the beauty of this guitar! It's just absolutely gorgeous!!!!!
Can't afford it though.
I've been looking at these lately:
Charvel Mod Pro So Cal

Charvel Wild Card #7 Primer Scream

I really like the Wild Card #7. Although I cant afford anything for a while, no harm in looking....must resist ...the GAS

FAIR WARNING mr. Peevy:
The only reason I sold my pro mod is because that neck joint block. Maybe you have big long finger and it won't matter, but I swear, that neck joint was UNBEARABLE for me. Jammin' with an Am bluesy thing high up? Forget about it
Too bad too because it was a nice guitar. Wonderful fret work!

How funny, I just had my first ever meeting with Charvel this morning. I can get you that Wild Card for $650.Peevy2000 wrote:I've been looking at these lately:

That is funny. $650 (approx. £420) is a great price & if I was living in the US I'd jump on this offer (which I really appreciate by the way). The cheapest I've seen this guitar for in the UK is £690 (approx. $1070), That's a massive difference in price.Uncle E wrote:How funny, I just had my first ever meeting with Charvel this morning. Unfortunately with the addition of import duty & VAT, importing the guitar from your self would bring the price of the wild card up to almost the same price as in the UK.

That is why Eric's other nickname here is 'Uncle Torture'
Its not at all Eric though, This economically screwed, dying whore of a country's Violating Anal Tunnel...20% is far too much, I had money when they 'froze' it at 15%, I remember buying things then
Great price Eric mate, Brilliant to know that you are 'in' with the Charvel team, Hope that you meet some friend's for life that way despite taking care of business
and you know the Uncle Torture is nothing more than a what the $ price is vs what we get stung badly on. Surprised that the tax bastard's have not drummed up something equally as brutal over in the US. I sure hope they never do, Again fwiw
So Peevy2000 same frustations as yourself here also fwiw many times a killer deal is around. It is by no means any consolation though I know
Peevy2000 man, If/when I get chance to visit america I do plan to do so one day, To meet up with Friends in person mostly (Internet is all well and good but nothing like in the flesh, Having the human element is My main motive) and heck it will make a great change of scenery also from here, I'll have to wait a good few years until My two wonderful mini-me's are in thier teen's, But it is going to happen. I shall save my pennies so I can bring home some treats hopefully also, Perhaps take some bits over to whomever want something with Me too. It is a crusade I am really looking forwards to in the long run
Next guitar if it for some reason does not turn out to be one of Scheter's SLS range has to be white, have a maple board, 2 humbuckers and a neck that works for Me. It will be pretty much a BAU job but with slight variations. Still got to sort a monster baritone neck out for one of the pair of black jackson dinky's out via Warmoth also. Difficult with cash and putting things in a priority based system of buying, I'm trying...

I'm thinking of finally putting my Ibanez RG570 together. It's a body that someone had routed for a Fernandes Sustainer, I need to add the hardware and neck from a rather uncool RG I've got lying around.

not my next guitar, I would never see it, trip over it, misplace it and with the little experience I have with the Dan Armstrong Lucite guitar I'm not all that sure I would like the sound of it...but it looks cool...cool like ice

I couldn't agree more, it looks great but at the same time isn't a bit over the top.hibidy wrote:That pro mod color is really cool. Plays off the black perfectly.

Anyone know of anyone who could use some Sadowsky humcancelling 4 string jazz bass pups? PM me, they go for around 150, willing to part with for MUCH less. I thought I'd ask here before going other routes.......

Dan Armstrong lives.
I remember this one Armstrong guitar with the pickup mounted on rails so you could slide it to the position you wanted. I remember them being quite reasonable in price and well setup but no one bought them.

I just always thought it was strange that a "clear" guitar would even sound good.....but then what do I know.
Anyways......WANT!

thousands and thousands of $$$$ so, will never happen but still want!
