I just assigned a Macro button to the on/off switch of the STEP SQ, as soon as I did that a strange permanent noise occurred which only goes away when I disable the Matrix slot - the noise sounds like a bitcrusher so I assume some sort of FX is enabled by that switch, can you please check on your end?

And I'm trying to modulate speed of STP SQ1 by a synced mod envelope, but nothing happens although it's assigned correctly in the matrix.

Pilot error, works fine now.

Having the CPU monitoring opened whilst programming and playing Avenger in Logix X 10.2.4 I notice, that multi-core support only randomly occurs, of the 24 available cores (I am now back on my Mac Pro with 12 physical cores which finally came back from the doctors yesterday) sometimes 3 are used (with one instance of AV playing) but mostly only one core is active, this needs some serious optimization it seems.

Three Avenger patches in this track (and nothing else), some Macro/modwheel automation, a limiter on the master output.

This, plus if working on a unsaved preset and core audio needs to reinitialise (for instance when opening a new project in parallel with an existing one), the synth returns to init. I'll further test to see if random or always. Also, some presets report 0 dB peak but in DAW the peak is around -18 dB. Boosting from within the synth leads to distortion, inserting a utility plug with +18 dB gain sounds undistorted.

The gain staging problem was fixed in the latest version, all my older presets now sound much too soft as I boosted them in various ways, but as I wrote on the previous page:

If the volume of an oscillator is set to center position it easily reaches +6dB/overload/in the red when viewed in the mixer section, but the OSCS display on the right side of the mixer displays -12 dB, so there is a difference of roundabout -18 dB between the two. I understand that there is some sort of padding going on so that when multiple oscs are used in a patch, things don't go through the roof, but when a patch only uses 1 osc, is there a way to switch off that padding? Otherwise things have to be boosted in the FX section which seems strange.
In version 1.0.27 this has now been changed, so the individual osc levels match the bus levels - I guess I 'll have to check all former presets I made for gain-staging now, but I prefer the new behavior.

This has been happening for the last few builds without a definite repeatable method , if I assign individual outputs for only some of the drum seq tracks in the drum mixer they do appear in the Cubase mixer but do not all get rendered to audio, only some of them. They only way to do it successfully is to enable all Avenger outputs and delete audio tracks I don't want. All other multi output Vis Ez Drummer etc work perfectly. Anybody else ? Sent a report to Rene.
