Rockstar not - Gilligan's pride
I read it's your first try on reggea, wow! Great job. It feels like a live performance at the beach. Would be nice if you had a Jamaican accent for this track ;-)
You couldn't hear the Jamaican accent? Well, neither could I, obviously! But I can speak German and Swedish - hey that gives me a thought - crap, too late, already submitted.

"Where's the polka?" The second part is a derivate of a traditional polka in 2/4. I first had to learn how to play it from a midi-file, then transposed it into another scale (g-minor actually) and changed the melody and gave more groove to it. Maybe this is why you can't recognize it. But one can dance to it....
The fourth part is also oriented in a polka-interlude, btw.

Ah, it's probably cause I'm not so familiar with what makes a polka exactly. I think of something like:

And when I heard your song this image didn't come to mind...

Beardedone - Technazz
Pretty lead sound which works very well with the genre. Good percussion, strong entry from you again.
Thanks so much Core. :D

This month is alraedy a full and rich field of entries. Great stuff guys!

Happy song, but doesn't actually cheer me up heh. Surf guitar is well done.

Love the vocals, the guitars (is that a banjo halfway down the track? lovely sound) are great. Track sounds very consistant, great entry!
:D Thank you so much for doing the work of reviewing, core !

I'm glad you liked my track!!
It's not a banjo (though I liked to have one and being able to play it.., I only have a mandoline), it's my E-Git with small psychedelic hammering :)
Tried my best to make this track to sound "multi"hybrid and simultaneously natural in terms of this :hihi:

Next Tracks:

Markleford: I love it! It's sooo relaxed...the early Mike Oldfield meets some pipe smoking settlers in the desert. Best song yet, imo!

Scott Hagel: You should ask someone for a direct link. Unfortunately I can't help you. Your last month's entry was great, but almost nobody knew.
10 Commendments is also one of the best entries this month: it has a strange threatening disturbing atmosphere, everything is mixed together very well....it really makes me think about the '10 Commendments'...your track is a new form of philosophical statement comming from another channel...overtone subbass. Dark Diamond!

Loveless: Quite a good work, too....drums are fantastic, driving rhythm...not a bit boring...fast two minutes. wow!

Could 'reviewing' compensate/substitute voting? It needs more time, but I feel better doing it than to vote for 10 tracks, when there are more than 30 I really like very much.

Thanks a lot mellotronaut! I've posted two submissions thus far and neither are really that similar to what I "usually" do.

...then came Joanna with a mighty banana!

Poetic license is great. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed that line

Thanxi!

One can never be sure to be the first. I had this 'Jordana' in my head, because of Lady J's looperies....but I didn't want to do a song about her.....so next name was 'Joanna' followed by 'Banana': In another thread was a banana-emoticon..that gave me the kick.

You welcome! :)
Have you got a direct link now? It's important....some people here just listen to direct linked tracks. Ask somebody!
