I went through your list of requests and tried 4ormulator, ELS, DtBlkFxS and also tested Orange. Couldn't find DCVocoder (where's it gone?) or shapee(never heard of it). Morph doesn't have a demo and their audio snippets sound far worse than their Orange Vocoder. Camel5000 looked like too much work to try out real quick.
All of them rely on the sample rate for pitch information, so you have to play an octave lower at 88Khz than 44Khz, and manually retune them a few notes/Hz if you play at 96Khz. Pretty crap. Well, I didn't give DtBclkalskm23 or whatever the hell it's called a chance because it's interface is about as convoluted as it's filename. For the love of god, 8 character filenames are so 80's.
So... 4ormulator sounded like absolute shit, ELS crashed Live and DtBlkFxS made me want to cry. Orange Vocoder sounded exactly like it does, just like Orange Vocoder
The only vocoder I've tried recently I really liked was Waves' one. Don't own it, but I got to use it in a track of mine recently, and it really sounds beautiful. I used to like Logic's too, but sadly moved on when they gave us PC users the cattleprod up the ass.
Well, don't I sound like a bitter old git?

jackson ok sounds(?) good.. I'm assuming that with OVC you did'nt try to EXTERNAL sources but the internal synth waves? I'm wondering more about using 2 externals with the vocoder engine at the upsampled rate..
With regards to Waves I think my boss owns it (he owns a lot of Waves plugs).. Were you using it at the 96khz?
Let me know

Yeah, I was using internal waves in Orange. I like to use vocoders to generate synth lines out of beats.Lagrange wrote:jackson ok sounds(?) good.. Looks like the waves vocoder bit was recorded at 88Khz.
