For half that price i could have bought it without even demoing it (thanks to ingo).

In FL It's a good thing to do the Fixed Buffer option. I had to do this with Saurus also. (And Z3ta+, and.. so I just do it as a matter of fact now.)

Maybe not half the price, but I expected it to be similar to Saurus in pricing, than in the same league as their other synths are. More specified, streamlined devices, compared to complex, power-synths.Crackbaby wrote:For half that price i could have bought it without even demoing it (thanks to ingo).

Wow, it's pretty impressive, the best from Tone2.
-It's got a lot of edge & bite, but there's this Allpass filter sounding thing everywhere that I need to turn off.
-presets are yesterday's sounds, needs to be repatched.

1.) What do you mean with "Allpass filter". The filter response is different for each waveform but if you move the Formant knob above 0 (0 is the middle position) it will turn into a BP filter.RunBeerRun wrote:Wow, it's pretty impressive, the best from Tone2.

2.) i don't know exactly what you mean with "yesterday's sounds".
There are indeed a few "bread & butter" sounds (and even those demonstrate e.g. the filter import from waveforms...) but there is also enough interesting and/or new stuff. For my taste this is what a factory library should look like. With 500+ sounds it's also quite big and there are some interesting Tutorial presets.
There are enough presets left over from the submissions to publish a first soundset in a not too long time.
Soundsets should also contain a selection of new waveforms.
One of the next soundsets should focus on pads but not the first one which will be a mixed one.

I like it. It's true that synthesists have been using these (or similar) techniques for ages by now, usually in powerhorse synths like Zebra or environments like Max etc, but this instrument brings together and unifies a variety of microsound/sync/formant techniques under one workflow, and adds convenience and enough original twists (i.e. the "PW" modulation of the window/impulse sequence and ability to scan through loops) to make it a really inviting instrument that lets you push into new sonic territory and it just invites experimentation and fun. It seems to cover an impressive amount of ground and have a characterful base sound.
Flicking thru the presets and just messing with the formant knob and other parameters is just plain fun and brings out so many different sounds. Fun stuff

In my ass.. Sounds totally same as all of your synths, in other words *peep*...Sounds more detailed, appealing, fat and louder than conventional synths
Seriously?!?Delivers professional sound quality that is never muddy and fits well into the mix
Wtf?Allows your music to stand out from the crowd!
Give me a break..Create distinctive sounds that are impossible to produce with other synthesizers
Most retarted claims ever. Who the f**** nuthead invented these?
in brief, it doesn't sound good, fat or "more louder and detailed than other synths". The "fair price" is far away from fair. Markus, abandon this "psychoacoustic processing" as it makes all of your products sounds totally same...

i dunno, i LIKE the sound of this one. i have electrax and saurus; rayblaster seems very different from them (or different enough). once you get past ANY developer's advertising...it's either, the plugin works for you or doesn't. NEVER believe the hype.
i think this will be my fave tone2 plug. i find electrax useful; saurus not exactly my cup of tea... but EVERYTHING is subjective, and this is what makes these forums, and music...and life...interesting.

It says nothing about an installer failing... Is it a known issue that the Mac installer is broken?Ingonator wrote:Did you check the link here?pdxindy wrote:I tried twice to install the demo (OS-X) but failed both times...
