Actually, I'm more impressed the longer I mess with it. More so than those IKM demos suggest.

I think I will get some use from it in my works. It may not make full scores, due to what the content is (and don't take that the wrong way - anybody - libraries have limitations), but it does have a lot going for it.

I'd say get off the fence Blue Phase Music, if you have the budget.

@ TrekStar - I love to help you out but I can't get KVR to accept a wav or mp3 and I have no other way to give you a sample. Sorry :x

Personally, I wouldn't buy it if I knew it wasn't going to be a permanent solutions, especially if it's mainly for the strings. I love Miroslav 1, but the strings aren't great.

@ Peter - IK Multimedia
Could you please tell if there will be a demo of "Miroslav Philharmonik 2" before December 31st?

Try moving the installer and sound content folder to a minimal path. The file names become too long when the path is deep.

I moved the installer folder to the desktop to resolve the file name too long issue. Root folder would probably be even better.

That is, if you are on Windows.

I can't understand at all the way they did the installation. Dumb, just dumb. 16 downloads, 16 separate installations. Dumb, just dumb.
Thanks for that, I will try it later. Yes I'm on Windows.

Spoken to IK support and they said the manual copy I did would have installed it fine.

But I would like piece of mind that the installer works.

I wouldn't count on it since there isn't one now and I have no information about one to share.

Quel dommage! :( (What a pity)
I would really like to know how the strings attack behaves.
I almost never could use the strings in version 1 because a fast attack is always combined first with a volume decrease, only after the attack phase the volume increases to his normal level.
This behaviour makes it difficult for me to use Miroslav 1 strings.
I am wondering if version 2 inherits from this behaviour.
The audio demos do not clearly show for me how the attack behaves.

The strings are definitely a focus, taking up more than 20 GB of the whole library, so I haven't tested them thoroughly yet, but I can test whether it's possible to use the strings with a really fast attack.

PM sent teacue, in case you're watching this thread.

I checked - between the "attack" and "start" macro controls, even unrealistically fast attacks are possible.

For better or worse, I went for it. I only had to pay about half-cash as I had some Gear Credits, so it wasn't too bad.

Now I need to figure out where I'll install it. Can I choose where to install the samples, or does it automatically put them in hidden C:\ drive folders? I'm on Windows 10.

I have VERY little C:\ drive space left.

You can specify where you want to install.

But I recommend placing the installers at your desktop to unRAR and install from.

Be sure to save the RAR's so you don't have to pay again for the sound libraries.

As far as I know you can install the library where you want; then select the sounds folder in MP2's Settings. The software itself (almost certainly) goes on the C:\ drive.

If you already have SampleTank 3 installed the MP2 library will go in the same place.

I don't have ST3, but as long as I know I can install where I want, I can take care of the rest. :)

Thanks!

Can someone send me the manual as well as some preview on how the samples sound?
