I suppose Daags is referring to this thread and judging by the fact that the thread is locked and the original post has been changed, looks like they aren't really censoring. Everyone can make their own conclusion as the first post changed to this:
For anyone interested in what else (besides what's announced) is in the upcoming release, here's a few threads about that:

*Troll posting deleted*
Sorry for the trolling, folks. That's a guy i know personally, setting up fake account after fake account since Thursday... but there are quite a bunch of replies here from others, so i just don't delete the whole thread for now.
As you can see in all the other threads, we're not about censoring criticism in the community, as long as it does not get offensive and/or comes from fake account and trolls. Constructive criticism is healthy to the community and the company, obviously spreading false information and hate using fake accounts is not.
Sorry there's currently silence on the official channels, but it is the weekend after a hard week and before NAMM and we will be available back on Monday again to work our whatever questions or concerns may exist!
Cheers,
Dom
"tesoteso": Hey, you know me, my email, my mobile, etc. ... don't be a coward and take your personal beef to the source, not the community.

F*ing thank you. What an idiot. I can understand some negativity surrounding this, and for the most part, the members posting sensible opinions, but that was ridiculous.

ras.s no .... that's not the post/thread I'm talking about, though obviously that guy adjusted his thread topic to refer to the censoring that other posters apparently spotted, e.g user 'viceverser' (posting in the locked thread you linked to) whose account exists since 2010 ... so he's hardly a fake account, though whether you want to call him a troll or not is your own business.
here's another guy refer to the censoring/deleting in a different, unlocked, thread ... this guy's account is from 2004 ... obviously another 'sleeper' account, lol
viewtopic.php?p=6678515#p6678515
in that post, the one you linked to, before Dom edited it and locked the thread, the original post made no mention of the censoring whatsoever.
at any rate, the OP from that thread seems seriously disgruntled. if he keeps getting banned etc i guess he's going to keep coming back with a new account. I'm not sure that's the same thing as being a 'fake' account. if he's ranting from one account at a time, and the previous one is banned or something, i don't think it's quite 'fake' ... fake, to me, implies someone with multiple active accounts who is posting from them all, simultaneously.
at any rate, there seems to be deleting/censoring taking place ... whether it's to silence one particular ranter who keeps coming back with new accounts, or whether it's a combination of him and other posts ... it's happening. conclusion: clusterfuck.
ultimately, why delete/censor these things if they aren't obviously racist, sexist, etc ? ... the idea that critical posts are being deleted is pretty suspect to me, regardless of whether the guy is evading a ban or something (which may only be the case in one instance of the censoring) .... why not just keep banning the guy ? what purpose does deleting/censoring posts that are within decency guidelines serve ? other than to make you look bad ?
but this is a big digression.

I too am very disappointed. I too feel cheated. I too feel used.

also, for those interested, here's some threads where the great ass-reaming licensing/pricing scheme is being discussed:
viewtopic.php?f=259&t=477132
viewtopic.php?f=259&t=477175
general bitwig 2 thread, but, naturally, becomes about the ass-reaming in short order:
viewtopic.php?f=259&t=477137
and there's others ... it's the main talking point over there, regardless of the thread topic, it seems many devolve to discussing the ass-reaming if the topic isn't specific enough.

For any of those still in denial about what was advertised about v2, when they were trying to flog licenses for v1 .... more evidence from 2012, sonicstate reporting from their visit with 'Dominik @ Bitwig':

Guys I think some of you are posting really harsh opinions.
I think you are requiring Bitwig a lot more than you are to other maufacturers, which I don't understand.
I can't agree with such an expensive upgrading scheme but Bitwig is considering its sustainability in the long run. Many people are expecting a perfect, full and cheap DAW without price at all.
I mean, think of Ableton, it's a really expensive DAW for the features it brings, it lacks many basic things demanded for years (for instance mouse zooming) and it has a helpless layout and browser. Bitwig in a matter of 4 years have become a real competitor and are at least listening to customers.
Having said that, Bitwig should focus more on polishing what they already offer rather than going for "magic" features like touch support. I don't think producers need touch support at all, what we need is a stable system that once working, starts getting features production/performance oriented, not game-oriented. Bitwig guys have to take it seriously if they want to survive, Ableton guys can just wait since they have the market.
Just an opinion by the way

J-909; don't forget that with this new scheme they become one of the most expensive daw's and they don't deliver what they promised. No one is expecting a perfect daw (since that doesn't excist), but this is just wrong, imho.

and you think this, I presume, based on your intimate knowledge of everyone's - who are critical of these latest Bitwig developments - posting history ?J-909 wrote:I think you are requiring Bitwig a lot more than you are to other maufacturers, which I don't understand.
Doubtful of course. but feel free to think what you like
At any rate, you obviously were not present when I - for example, along with hordes of others, flamed Ableton for the disaster that was Live 8. Which was a clusterfuck that Ableton were building towards with poor policy for several major versions beforehand. And what was the result of that near unanimous roasting ? A complete change of policy. Now they take their time and spend years between major versions. That's progress.
and if I, along with the hordes, had listened to all the apologists and fanboys, where would we be now ? Complaining about problems with Live 13, no doubt, and hundreds of dollars poorer too for the privilege.
more often than not, these fanboys/sycophants/apologists hinder progress. the irony is the common thing they say is something along the lines of 'you've made your point, now move on' ... when it is they who should be following that advice. nothing gets improved when the only people talking are those happy to live with, and keep paying for, the problems.

Wait on an official reply from BW? No, better go into self-oscillating tin foil hat drama mode, because that is the sensible thing to do!
That isn't to say that the underlying critism isn't valid, but it possible to express concern without sounding like a child throwing a temper tantrum.
