Yes, due to permission problems (on both Mac and PC) we decided to move presets and other data to new paths. However, the plugin should have copied over the old presets into a Legacy folder.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote:Why did the Preset folder move in this release? Was that intentional (didn't notice it in the notes).
I'm on Windows 10 and previously they were in:
C:\Users\[User Name]\Documents\AudioThing\Presets\OuterSpace
Now they're in:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\AudioThing\Presets
I only noticed because my old user presets weren't showing up.
These are the updated paths: https://www.audiothing.net/support/wher ... talled-to/

Yep! Mid-2012 13", non-retina, SSD instead of CD/DVD drive, 16GB RAM. Rock solid for 6 years.el-bo (formerly ebow) wrote:Mid-2012, non-retina? Join the club

This plugin is so nearly there for me. However, I'm really missing a 'mix' knob so that I can get a proper blend when using it as an insert
Am I missing something obvious?

I have the 15", but swapped out the main HD for an SSD, and swapped out the CD/DVD drive for the old HD. Also 16 gig ram.audiothing wrote:Yep! Mid-2012 13", non-retina, SSD instead of CD/DVD drive, 16GB RAM. Rock solid for 6 years.
I've yet to see any reason to upgrade

That doesn't work for me, as I want more control of the blend with the dry signal. In the above scenario, the effect always sounds like it's just layered on top of the dry signal, which just remains too 'clean'. The dry signal never gets enveloped/swallowed into the loopemef wrote:i use the delay and reverb volume knobs when i use it as an insert, seems to work ok as mix buttonsel-bo (formerly ebow) wrote:This plugin is so nearly there for me. That's how the original hardware work. As long as you want to use it as an insert there's not much you can do.el-bo (formerly ebow) wrote:That doesn't work for me, as I want more control of the blend with the dry signal. The "dry" signal actually goes into the Pre-Amp (if on) and then it's blended with the Echo and Reverb parts. You can try to push the Input knob more and adjust the Output accordingly, especially with the Pre-Amp on (HQ turned on as well to make it a bit more "rich").

Has anything happened to cerberusaudio.com? Firefox just says that the server can't be reached…Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: I recommend you check out ice9 if you're not already using it. You put it on your master and it will automatically mute the output once the volume exceeds a set level. It's a nice way to replace loud, monitor-worring/ear-piercing volume spikes with an instant mute. I put it on the master as part of every default template in my DAW's. Never have to worry about volume spikes.
Pity, if that's the case – ice9 sounds like a really good idea.

Unfortunately, there is no combination of settings that gets me where I want to be, in insert mode. There are times when I will be ok using this on a send, but I prefer these kinds of effects on inserts. I'm sure It will have it's uses, and I still have other delaysaudiothing wrote:That's how the original hardware work. And, to clarify, i do understand that this is how it is on the hardware. However, at this point, you've bolted on so much extra cool shit (It's kinda like Mecha-SpaceEcho), that I think any feature request be judged on utility, rather than whether it fits the idea of a 1:1 clone.
It was worth a shot
Thanks, again

That's how it's supposed to be, that's why it's called 'dry'.el-bo (formerly ebow) wrote:The dry signal never gets enveloped/swallowed into the loop
You could use parallel configuration with both echos set to wet only, one without feedback, other with as much as you want. And no 'dry'.el-bo (formerly ebow) wrote:In the above scenario, the effect always sounds like it's just layered on top of the dry signal, which just remains too 'clean'.
