Its sorta crazy but I have loads of delays and I keep falling back to H-Delay from Waves. Even use the Tape on there over our actual Space Echo unit. Each time a new delay comes out I grab it and check it out and still revert back to H-Delay so I am curious if finally one will steer me into a new direction... and out of any plugin developer, Valhalla could be the one to do so.

I gravitate to Dubstation and H-Delay most of the time, but will definitely buy this when it drops. Valhalla tick all the boxes, great sound, price, support, gui. What’s not to love?!
I once thought I had mono for an entire year. It turned out I was just really bored...

II have loads of great delays inc Soundtoys, H Delay (bargin for 29 bucks), Objeq Delay (love this one)and recently Helix Native (which as some pretty amazing delays in it and sounds great on synths) - I managed to resist UHE's delay (although it was nice) but this will be harder as I have all the Valhalla Verbs and just like the workflow/GUIs and sound so much....
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

The GUI seems very close to VV. "Size", "Depth" and a value that seems to match a filtering stage...Let's hope there will be a serious bunch of algos to compete with Echoboy !

I don’t want it to compete with echoboy, I already have echoboy
I am hoping it brings something new to the table!

If you check out the soundcloud playlist, there's a lot of great examples of what this is capable of including some big hints as to some models. I'm probably a bit over-excited at the prospect, but I'm already bought in. I'm thinking this is going to be THE best sounding delay on the market for a few different styles of delay. Came to this belief after letting the Soundcloud playlist play through while I was working the other day. It may not have all the esoteric features that Echoboy does when it comes to the Tweak and tap panels (or whatever they're called) but in terms of multiple styles of kick ass sounding delays, I think this will be it.Endor-8o8 wrote: Fri Mar 29, 2019 9:52 pm The GUI seems very close to VV. hmmm looking at the controls what makes it different from 100 other delays? It has "age" which is cool.

Other than the respected / revered "Valahalla" company imprint, not much at all, tbh. But for many, that will be enough I suppose.ATS wrote: Fri Mar 29, 2019 10:28 pm hmmm looking at the controls what makes it different from 100 other delays?
I guess one thing we can't see is how many 'Modes' it includes, but that is still firmly rooted in territory that Echoboy, among many others, has covered since many years past...
I see very little reason why I'd pay for and use this instead of EchoBoy or Replika-XT, both of which have many more features than this appears to have, while also including everything this does. Hrm.

It actually models different delay types/devices - it's not just a normal delay + saturation on top, like most, or rough 'approximations'. Think Colour Copy level of modelling or thereabouts, but not only for BBD.ATS wrote: Fri Mar 29, 2019 10:28 pm hmmm looking at the controls what makes it different from 100 other delays? Seeing mholloway's post - that's exactly the point, Echoboy is not modelling anything, Valhalla Delay is. That's the difference.
