It would be cool if we could capture a few seconds of audio inside the wave import window at the bottom, like serum can re-sample to wavetable.

it can, you can 'select', and have options. or i don't understand your question....

I mean without recording, exporting and importing audio files.

Serum has a feature where you can select "Render to wavetable" and it internally renders the current patch, osc, filters, everything from the master output back into a wavetable.

It's like an internal render in place.

You need to install the SSE2 version. The M1 Silicon has no AVX and can’t emulate it.

Nevermind, it's on the "custom installation options" inside the installer itself. It is in the instructions and I didn't pay attention to it. Shame on me!

it is a pity, that contacting the developer of this wavetable synth, that i use as thé wavetable synth in my setup, next to Vital, has become very difficult, not to say, impossible.

in a way i can understand it (i had a lot of contact with the developer), but still i regret it, that there is no development anymore (well it works quite good, and for me it is wonderfull...), and also no support.

the problem, always, an one-person company, when something happens. whatever it is.

perhaps someone else, did reach the developer?

Indeed a pity, was quite fond of this in my projects. Everytime I ran into some kind of limitation with a synth I was almost certain that I could actually do it in Vaporizer2. That and the sample playback with all it's functions where really neat...
I might upgrade my setup to a m1 or m2 system in the (near) future. Anyone have some recommendations for some alternatives for Vaporizer? I have Vital but that one doesn't seem to cover all the same ground.. Perhaps Icarus2?

that is good news. that it is now free. ánd open source.

it is still, in my opinion, one of the best Wavetable synth, has things that Serum doesn't have (and i quite like), but Serum has things that Vaporizer 2 doesn't have.

but check this beast! 4 wavetable oscillators, full MPE, 3 effect busses, extreme routing possibilities, etc. etc. and a sample player, that also can do granular....
