A 'convert slide to standard midi pitch slide' macro would be nice. How about a multisampler? Or a score editor?

If they did that I and others would be outraged. FL is a great app, but if the updates cease to be free I think most amateur/young musicians would just not upgrade. Maybe the professional is resigned to the process of upgrading and updating and throwing money away, but those without the money to keep that process up would rather stick with what they have than pay for something that should have been free.dexters lab wrote:yeah and they could break that retarded promise very easily....
and depending on how far they are to go with FL studio i.e. cubase level then they should break it...
it would be the dumbest buisness move if they did not.
cry babys
Then again, there are so many who just pirate it anyway. They're the ones who have the REAL lifetime free updates

i guess the subject of this thread simply vanished away !! but whose to blame ? huhu!
anyway seems that this thread has helped to add some new features to the future fl studio edition even if i am still wondering when it will come out !
the lastest news we got was that the live loop recording was beta tested ...
there is a thread on this forum called fl studio 5 preview
http://www.kvr-vst.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=58938
don t know if it is a real preview as the fl team didn't reply on this thread
could all the fl studio users here have a little screen shot preview of what fl studio will look like ?
Cause i think lots of dudes here, are diying to see it !
peace

Actually it's pretty cool to hear for over 6 years how bad our update policy is and people telling us we'll be out of business in no timeCabinfever wrote:I actually think these free updates for life are a bad idea as far as making money for the company.
... and most of them do. With each new version we try to release some new plugin(s) like the VideoPlayer in this case.Cabinfever wrote:I think most people would pay a small update fee each time it goes to version 5, 6, 7, etc.
If you don't want it just don't buy it but if you like it and/or wanna support the FL development just get it.

I really like your policy
It is smart of you to put out teasers in new releases (Wonder why other companies don´t do the same?)
For example look at the f**king logic policy. I guess people who complain about FL´s policy would love the same thing to happen with all the soft (paying 10.000$ each year to keep yourself updated)
Or we could also mentioned propellerhead who never respond to any request about future updates (And use soo long time to give us something new to play with
)
Keep up the good work FL Team (i know you can).
