Yes, all expansions we will release for Triaz will be unlocked, meaning you also get access to the raw wav files too to use anywhere you like. But of course the expansions have lots of benefits such as being perfectly categorized and named for the plugin, and with lots of tasty presets, sequencer / motion patternsFannon wrote: Thu Feb 08, 2024 6:37 pm
This sounds very promising and would be definitely interested if you release expansions for Triaz, given that the drum sounds are available as regular .wav files and well organized (like they are in Triaz as of today).
How does the sample import work? In Triaz you have a lot of subcategories - how much of that would the auto-categorization feature get?
There are several ways to import samples into Triaz.
1. There is a folder icon on each of the 36 layers in Triaz. Clicking that will bring up your native OS browser similar to Battery 4 for example. From there you an load any samples from anywhere on your Hard Drive, and Triaz will remember that folder for each layer and allow you to randomize through it using our new drum randomizer (or with similar sounds turned off you can randomize folders outside the selected folder for that layer)
2. You can Drag + Drop samples onto any layer or even mixer channel to immediately load them and then do the same thing as above with randomization. You can then set drum icons for each channel if wanted too.
3. You can import entire sample packs, which then show in the Triaz sound browser in a new section on the left, and Triaz will automatically take the sub-folder names and use those for categorization and naming. For example, in a sample we sell called Drum Tools, the tagging would appear in Triaz exactly as it does in the sample pack. I.e you will see drum types for kick, snare, clap etc, and then once you click a drum you will see tags for clean, punchy, sub etc. The tagging is also better than the Kontakt version, including being able to hold down CTRL and click tags / Drums to reveal sounds in the browser across multiple selected tags.

Yes, there will be a 14-day fully functioning trial with no annoying noise bursts or anything like that. The only caveat is that the demo doesn't include all of the samples / presets. It includes 4000+ samples and 200 selected presets, whilst the full version includes 15,000 samples and 715 presets.db3 wrote: Thu Feb 08, 2024 6:59 pm Great to hear this is so close to release! For non-Triaz owners, will there be a demo and can you confirm any intro or crossgrade (Evo/Rev) offer?
The only reason for this is that we don't want to force people to download a 4GB file to demo this, and we wanted to keep the demo around 1Gb in size

We'll consider this for an update in the future if we have enough requests / email requests for it. Our main focus for now is getting this released, addressing any teething problems that may arise, and getting some expansions released.
As said before, I would personally also use MIDI out sometimes, but it's not a top priority currently since we have other features and add-ons we'd like to add that we feel will benefit the more wider audience more

It doesn't specify the supported file formats for import. Maybe that's what Revvy is referring to, but I could be mistaken

Yeah, I know it imports packs made by Wave Alchemy but the thought that it could import any and all one shot samples was something I wanted to confirm.enCiphered wrote: Thu Feb 08, 2024 9:36 pmIt doesn't specify the supported file formats for import. I wasn't imaging at all it would have that feature. Much closer to a Geist replacement.

Yes, native allows import of one-shot WAV files. The Kontakt version of TRIAZ does as well (via drag and drop), it's just not very functional.revvy wrote: Thu Feb 08, 2024 10:20 pmYeah, I know it imports packs made by Wave Alchemy but the thought that it could import any and all one shot samples was something I wanted to confirm.enCiphered wrote: Thu Feb 08, 2024 9:36 pmIt doesn't specify the supported file formats for import. Yes, I can confirm that you will be able to do thisrevvy wrote: Thu Feb 08, 2024 8:15 pm Forgive the somewhat basic question Dan:
I can use all my wav samples, like Vengeance packs, within Triaz? (i.e. not just other WA packs)

Can I just say, I bought TRIAZ, couldn't use it in KONTAKT because of my screens being too hi resolution and now seeing this I'm over the moon. I don't care that it took you extra time, I'm just so pleased that you have gotten to the first native version! You guys rock, your samples go hard, and I'm stoked to be able to play with this in the near future again.

Have you tried it with Kontakt 7 Player? There you can set the zoom level.joshuaveldman wrote: Fri Feb 09, 2024 1:04 am Can I just say, I bought TRIAZ, couldn't use it in KONTAKT because of my screens being too hi resolution and now seeing this I'm over the moon. But to be clear: All it does is ugly upscaling. And Kontakt 7 loads even slower than Kontakt 6. So I'm really very very happy that Triaz will now be "liberated" from Kontakt.
