Recorded some guitar
Finished programming some drums
Spent some time fine tuning a kick patch from the analog RYTM
Adjusted some drums in an almost finished mix

Whittling down the hundreds of noodlings, trying out Softube FET.

Watched a video about stacking limiters.
Could someone educate me on how using 3 limiters with 1 only compressing is stacking, is just a gain boost? I don't get it. I do now.

Wrote myself some notes on what went wrong Friday (*), then got something decent recorded which (loosely) used some of the better ideas from that session.

(*) a lot of it boils down to "build order" like in an RTS game. I had this same problem when I first got the 0-Ctrl and kept trying to start with a funky sequence and build tracks around it. Things work so much better for me if I lay a foundation first and build up naturally, without trying to force something into it... each part needs to serve the song, not itself.

Been meaning to take a look at how to make libraries for Decent Sampler so I dug out a few fuzz boxen and a DR55 (bet nobody thought of that before). Then I remembered that the battery holder is borked in the DR so I need to solder a new one on. I've probably had the replacement for about a year but just never got around to fixing it!

Guess what tomorrow's job is...

Put down the structure for a new tune.
I like some things about it a lot and others, not so much.

A reminder that you might not always get a good tune, but you do always learn something, so that the next tune will be even better.

And that is what is important.

recently I got a DA 87i kit from Dachman Audio https://www.dachmanaudio.com
They had a deal were they threw in their other mic kit for free. So I've been soldering together microphones for the last week. Finally a decent solution to recording acoustic guitar and vocals, plus mics for when Tonex comes out.
