ANOTHER UPDATE:
Well, it's working here now.
The problem was Malwarebytes web protection. There is something about the site that it doesn't like. I tried putting devproaudio.com in the "Allow list" and it still didn't work - although it changed from blocking the site to looking like DNS couldn't find it. I had to mess around and completely unload Malwarebytes, accesss the site then re-load it again - and it was OK. :-\
Then I couldn't access the manual page and news - so I had to do the same thing.

I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with the site or anything Denis can do - just putting this here in case anyone else has problems. At least they can try screwing around with Malwarebytes to try to fix it ;)

Hello!

I had a chance to test REVERSIDE (Thanks Denis!) so i wanted to chime in and share my experience,

first of all as a fan of Aether i was instantly happy to hear it on first impression...something like meeting an old friend :)

I personally find something special musical and unique in the sound of the algorithm,
the reverb itself seems more capable and versatile in current iteration, from small spaces to really giant ones and every thing in between i could find inspiring settings.
for me specially the big spaces possible both realistic and surreal i found unique and awesome...
The controls are logical and powerful making big spectrum of tweaks possible with precision,
generally speaking it seems that development coming along very nicely,
The gui is still in development and some minor known stability issues being adressed however,
for sure there some big potential! Eagerly looking forward to see progress and final result!

(I tested on Intel I9 machine running windows 11 Cubase pro 14)

P.S.
The site looks nice!

Just a heads up for anyone moving to a clean install on Seqouia.

Unfortunately, I can’t get the 2Caudio plugins that have been confirmed to run on ARM based systems to install.

The installer does launch (after allowing it to run via Security & Privacy), but it ends with a software not found error message.

I used Pacifist to Install, and it mostly works correctly, but placing the AU plugin in the plugin folder, not in the Components folder. That’s an easy fix, but no host will recognize it. It will either show as a blank/empty space or in the case of Live, it has a message saying it failed to initialize.

In Pacifist, it shows these are unsigned.

If anyone has any other ideas, specific to Seqouia, please let me know and I’d be happy to try them.

Sorry I had them installed already (going back before Big Sur but always on M1 of course) so didn't encounter this, bummer if I wanted to reinstall I guess.

There’s always the possibility that Apple will reverse course a bit. Seems during the beta of the OS, they took away/then added back options for installing from unknown developers.

The worst part of this, if it stays, is knowing it can run but only if you upgrade from an older OS. I technically could do that now, but it would be a mess and losing Breeze on older projects might be the easier option.

Also, I did try simply dumping the AU of Breeze 2 from the Intel machine, but that didn’t work either.

I definitely don’t understand the problem.

2C plug-ins are unsigned, at least this is how it was back in early 2022. signing and notarizing 2C plug-in binaries and installers so they work on modern mac os is possible I think, however I'm not 100% sure as the code relies on loading external dynamic libs and this requires extra time to explore. Anyway if simple signing of dynamic libs does not work they could be integrated into main binary with dynamic code dispatch. For experienced programmer it is not a hard task to do. I mean I could do that in principle. And well, I could even re-code the old stuff using my new sdk so they work natively on mac os, but this is much harder task of course.

I updated the manual on the web site and added subscribe to newsletter button/form. would you guys please check it out?

Hi Denis,
I signed up for the newsletter. The consent button is a little weird
Image
That basically just says you agree to consent - to what? ;)
Then the actual consent text comes up when you tick the box. I guess this is just built in to the web page - but if there is a way "configure" it, I'd just put all of the consent text in the same place that you're ticking the box.

I'm not sure if it sends out an email - for verification - I haven't received one yet.

I'll have to look at the manual section later - when I have time.

I just downloaded the new beta, and when it opens, it's huge. Won't even fit on my screen. I can't reach the handle to resize.
Tried in Reaper 7, Waveform 13, and Studio One 5 Pro. All the same.

I tried putting my monitor in Portrait mode so I could reach the resize handle, but it still wouldn't resize.
I'm on windows 10, with a 1080p monitor resolution.

Anyone else having this problem?
I saw a note in the email about Ableton scaling, but it didn't seem to apply to the DAWs I'm using.

Post

Yes the default plug-in size is set now to match 4K displays. In the next build I will auto check the screen resolution and set the initial size accordingly. currently the solution is to set the plug-in window scale manually:
to do that go to C:\Program Files\Devproaudio\product\REVERSIDE\state
open pref.yaml in a text editor. locate: pref_ui_wnd_scale: (some_value)
change this value to something like 0.5
save file, reload plug-in and now the window size should be smaller.

Post

Yup, happens here too in Live, I can't make it smaller.

/edit
Just saw your reply Denis. Windows scale change does not work.

Same. I'm able to modify the preferences file, but it still opens very large.
Even if I put my monitor in Portrait mode, so I can reach the resizing handles, I can't adjust them.

Just set up a separate Sequoia install on my main drive, so I'm now able to dual-boot (Ventura or Sequoia). B2 refused to install on Seq from the main installer. However, dragging the component as well as the 2caudio folder from 'Application Support' allowed me to load it into Logic just fine :tu:
