Erm,,,, I'd have to disagree on that one. Tele's are great for country and blues. LP's are more classic (70's) Rock. Schecter's and BC Rich (the american made ones) Were all the rage in early early Midwest industrial and heavy metal as they had more throat. It wasn't until west coast metal that you saw ibby's and charvel's take center stage.

These guys disagree & so do I

Tele's are great for many styles, but keep in mind that guys like John5 frequently have buckers. (Not sure what is up with the one pictured.)

dont listen to "these guys", "those guys" or even "this guy" listen to the guitar in your hands, feel the instrument, listen to the voice in your heart and buy the one that suits you...not some other player you happen to admire.

Mike, Schecter started out purely as parts for guitars before they ever made guitars...ESP too.

The Seymour Duncan's Little 59 for Telecasters is excellent sounding. One of my tele's has it in the bridge with a series/parallel/split switch and all positions are great sounding and useful.

One of my favorite humbuckers of all time is the Dimarzio HS-3. It has the low-end clarity of a single coil with the smooth high-end of a full-sized humbucker, making it really excellent for soloing. It makes perfect sense that Yngwie Malmsteen uses it.

No it isn't necessarily pretty.

Here is what I like about it:

1. Fender hard-tail-like bridge (Tune-o-matic bridges feel weird to me)
2. Fender strat scale length
3. Fender strat pup configuration with 5 position switch
4. Mini bucker in the neck (can single it as well)
5. SLANTED bucker in the tail - with single capability
6. Kinda small and pretty light as well. body is 5 lb.
7. Set neck
8. Body sculpting on the back: Image

My current axe is a Fender Fat Strat, with the stock bucker in the tail, but I've re-wired the thing so that the neck tone is a master tone, and the middle tone control is a variable tap on the tail bucker. That one change alone made it a much more tone-monster as I can roll off lows on the bucker for crunch time.

However, I played one of these Epiphones and I fell in love with the tons of tonal variety out of the thing. With the coils tapped on the humbuckers, and the arrangement of the pickups and 5 position switch, it can sound very strat like (particularly in positions 2 and 4) and then it can sound very Les Paul like with the humbuckers.

It's like Gibson decided to make a Frankenstratopaul. Saving money now....[/img]

hibidy, return that Indonesian guitar and get this proper Japanese Prestige for the same price:

It's the same as mine and I'll tell you right now that it KILLS!

I'm keeping the guitar. The neck is just too good.

Btw, I can't see an image on that.

Lovely. I've full up on whammy's though. Now I have all I need. a good hardtail for standard tuning, another for alt tuning, two with edgepros (though one is not doing so well  ) and then another premium that is a decent guitar, but I'll probably sell.

I'm truly done!

You don't have one in korina yet. ;)

my next guitar will most likely be a warmoth body and maple neck (strat) H-H, so I can put one of my at least 25 year old Floyd Rose's in it.

If I was a better player or if I was loaded......I'd want ALL the Ibanez's  (RG's or Jems)
