Also installation of all my Unfiltered Audio plug-ins was tricky as no licenses could be activated although I had de-authorized most former computers in my Plugin Alliance account. This seems to be a known issue and here is the solve from the PA FAQ pages (one has to manually delete a file):
https://support.plugin-alliance.com/hc/ ... y-licenses
The most terrible experience was the installation of the UAD drivers for my travel audio interface Arrow (now named Apollo Solo), not only does one have to install 9 GB worth of plugins (which I never use) with the drivers but then one has to restart the Mac in recovery mode (which failed several times) and execute various steps to overcome the Apple security settings, jeez what a drag.

had to do the same w/RME a few years back but they've since developed a driver package that doesn't require those steps. I suspect UAD will sort that out eventually too. a handful of hardware devices required that. driver install at kernel level. Amazing, even the ancient Iris 1 installer from 2013 worked fine, the GUI looks shit but the sounds are all there!

Although not officially supported on the iZotope website, these apps + plugins work fine on Sonoma 14.5 on a MacBook Pro Max (M3).
*Iris 1+2
*Stutter Edit 1+2
*RX8 Advanced
----
I spoke to soon, Iris 2 only runs in demo mode and can't be authorised so it'll probably stop working in 10 days from now and I'll de-install it.

Good news - at least for me - 2C Audio Breeze 2.5 (installer from 2019) and Kaleidoscope 1.1 (installer from 2016) install and function fine on Sonoma 14.5 - MacBook Pro Max (M3). Will install Precedence 1.5 now.

I have it on my iLok - is that method not available anymore either?Sampleconstruct wrote: Thu Jun 27, 2024 10:30 am Although not officially supported on the iZotope website, these apps + plugins work fine on Sonoma 14.5 on a MacBook Pro Max (M3).

I have them all working on Sonoma - with the caveat of VST2 only and under Rosetta (plus Kaleidoscope and the older reverbs have that file system ordering bug that was never fixed)Sampleconstruct wrote: Fri Jun 28, 2024 10:16 am Good news - at least for me - 2C Audio Breeze 2.5 (installer from 2019) and Kaleidoscope 1.1 (installer from 2016) install and function fine on Sonoma 14.5 - MacBook Pro Max (M3). I wish I had it on my iLok but the license transfer is not working in my iZotope account, I think they've just abandoned it altogether. All other iZotope serial numbers for legacy products still work, even Stutter Edit 1 and Iris 1.aMUSEd wrote: Fri Jun 28, 2024 10:34 amI have it on my iLok - is that method not available anymore either?Sampleconstruct wrote: Thu Jun 27, 2024 10:30 am Although not officially supported on the iZotope website, these apps + plugins work fine on Sonoma 14.5 on a MacBook Pro Max (M3).

After more intensive testing it shows that all GRM plugins are unstable on my M3 Macbook Pro in Logic 11.01 on Sonoma 14.5 and frequently force Logic to reboot so I'll remove them from my live setup which is a shame but there are is always an alternative.Sampleconstruct wrote: Thu Jun 27, 2024 12:36 amAfter updating to OS Sonoma 14.5 all GRM plugins validated fine, phew...Sampleconstruct wrote: Wed Jun 26, 2024 5:28 pmSeveral restarts didn't help, it says version 3.11.1 installed and on their website that's all there is to download. I'll ask them...dayjob wrote: Wed Jun 26, 2024 4:29 pmand a restart didn't help? send them an email. before the current version there was a problem with their plug ins installing as intel/x86 instead of apple silicon but the latest version, which i think is 3.12, fixed that problem for me. though it took them 6 months to do it.Sampleconstruct wrote: Wed Jun 26, 2024 3:34 pmI tried manually validating in the Plugin Manager to no avail, the only plugin validating is the Equalizer - this is after a clean install using the Bundle Installer which contains all GRM apps.dayjob wrote: Wed Jun 26, 2024 3:19 pmWeird. Did you try a rescan of them in plug in manager? They work fine here on M1. I think I had to restart or log out then back in thoughSampleconstruct wrote: Wed Jun 26, 2024 2:59 pm I got my new M3 Max Macbook Pro today and none of the GRM plugins validate in Logic, the standalone apps work just fine.

ThrillMe 3 multi-band compressor and EQ10 are not in the database. Both are Universal Binary and available for purchase through our FX Bundle at https://www.discodsp.com/fx

I don’t think the database is being updated anymore. At this point it seems most things are apple silicon except for a few things and of course EOL things that will never be updateddiscoDSP wrote: Mon Aug 12, 2024 7:04 pm ThrillMe 3 multi-band compressor and EQ10 are not in the database. It’s unfortunate that the database is no longer updated, leading to many products going unrecognized.dayjob wrote: Mon Aug 12, 2024 7:28 pmI don’t think the database is being updated anymore. one person was doing it. i think it just became too much time to spend on it for him. most things are in there though and by now, apple silicon native seems to be less an issue as most things have been updated except for a select few. it'd probably be easier to list the things that aren't apple silicon nativediscoDSP wrote: Mon Aug 12, 2024 7:36 pmIt’s unfortunate that the database is no longer updated, leading to many products going unrecognized.dayjob wrote: Mon Aug 12, 2024 7:28 pmI don’t think the database is being updated anymore. best thing you can is make it clear on your site that your products are apple silicon native.
