My NI Komplete Care 2005 prediction:
NI will deliver Kontakt 2.0 ($119), FM7 2.0 ($119), and either Vokator 2.0 or Spektral Delay 2.0 (but not both) ($119). They will also have a number of dot releases which you will receive two weeks before the public (e.g., you are paying to beta test). Finally, you'll receive a 20% discount offer for the new FM7 & Absynth sound libraries. So, you get $357 in value for a lot less actual cost. Still a great deal, but only if you would have bought all those upgrades anyway.
There won't be a Reaktor 5, because that upgrade will cost $199, and people would simply buy the Komplete Care 2005 package at the time the Reaktor 5 package came out rather than pay for the Reaktor upgrade. This would result in a lot of lost revenue for NI.
Instead of buying Komplete Care 2005, I'll simply wait for NI Komplete 3 which will come out in December 2005, and this will contain all the same updates as Komplete Care 2005 for about the same money (but I'll only do it if it's worth it to me, which I'll know in advance). NI isn't stupid - they are providing upgrade options for both types of buyers; the pre-order crowd and the wait-until-the-sale crowd.
Worst case if the NI NAMM announcements are so good that it's impossible to pass up, then I'll buy the LTO after NAMM. Most retail stores will have leftover LTO stock for at least a month after NAMM.

I just recently bought my Komplete Care 2005. As far as predictions go Battery 2 and Absynth 3 are great upgrades. But I feel most of us are taking a gamble on NI to give us something worth our hard earn money for 2005. Ive been to a few other forums of people expressing a pestimistic view of not knowing what NI's future product releases are going to be. I went an put my money down anyway so hopefully I wont get burned. Hopefully, NI will deliver on the goods. If not there might be alot of fairly disappointed people in NI.
Things i want to see out of NI the most.
1. DVD instuctional videos on how to use there products more effectively.
2. Reaktor 5
3. FM 7 2.0
4. Pro 53 2.0

I hope the German government will introduce the 60 hour workwook soonbaggio wrote:I can safely say if there is not a major update to Kontakt and Reaktor, I will be slightly upset.
Anyway, NI has a Fuhrer*, and they're German, let's hope they do a Blitz. Arbeit macht frei!
*It's true! A gesellschaftsfuhrer, no less! I wonder if he has a moustache
