Who are you referring to?

Plenty of chart-busting hits getting airplay these days using loops. KVR is a forum for 'virtual instruments'. Not everyone can or even wants to put a 'band' together to record their music.

I'll bet you a lot of money that I can do a song with loops and samples that you will not be able to tell from the "real thing" (mainly since they are the real thing anyway... yuk yuk yuk) :hihi:

yah know what Alex? I know you, I, or anyone could do that...but with me I can't help but wonder why I would want to make a whole song with loops...some parts maybe...but still every song for me is about playing...;)

btw dhl tracking said it should be here today, it's now 8:35 pm...I'm giving up hope  ...maybe tomorrow

Anyone using the US2400 with Audition 2?
Saw the price dropped to $800. Looks like the perfect Controller.

Sure -- I don't use them either, but I'm not going to call someone a "lazy ass" because they do. WTF?

If you don't get that package soon I'll fly one in personally just so you suffer no more pain. :hihi:

Have you had any sleep in the last two weeks? ;)

Couldn't be bothered to read all of this thread - checked a couple of pages and it seemed a bit of a train wreck. (Maybe I just dropped in on the wrong parts, though. :hihi: )

Anyway, just wanted to say:
It's taking a bit of getting used to, partly because of the change in GUI and colour scheme. I like the changes though - somehow makes it look and feel more pro.
I've barely scratched the surface yet, but so far I'm liking what I see and hear a lot! This is stil an app I couldn't live without. A most worthwhile upgrade imo. :D 8)

first Mick, one person came in and made a trollish comment...but this thread has been cool for the most part

As for the update, yeah I like what I see too...I'm using the demo and really impressed and I agree it's not question "if" I should upgrade...not now, 2.0 is a must have.

However like anything else there is a downside, for me my two complaints are the cost of the upgrade and the fact that they didn't seem to have enough in stock to fill the demand.

At this point I can justify the cost because it puts someone like me at the break even point (going from CE2K>AA1.0>AA1.5>AA2.0).

However in 18 months when a new update comes out I will have some things to think about. First will the software be worth more than the box price of a new one? Of course I have no way of knowing, nor does anyone. But I am troubled by the fact that if I had of just ordered it the day it was available I would have it. Now I'm still waiting, though it says on DHL's page that it's in the hands of the delivery driver now.

During the Xmas season DHL came under fire here because they were just leaving packages on door steps and xmas presents were getting stolen. Here in my building they dropped off an envelope for my neighbor, she wasn't home and they left in the doorway that anyone can get in (before the locked door to enter the building). The envelope contained a credit card that was being sent to replace another, had someone stole that one they would of had a credit card.

My waiting, even though it says it will be delivered today, is getting on my nerves. The page still says it's schedule for delivery 2/2/06, yesterday I made sure someone was here all day and it never came. Now today I'm in the same boat...just because DHL says it's coming doesn't mean it's true (this is not my first disappointment with them)

So if I want to see if the next update is worth the money and try the demo, not only does it take longer because of my making up my mind, but then I stand a chance of paying a time penalty like I have now. 1.5 took 3 days to get here (counting the day I ordered it)2.0 has taken that three days as, plus an extra week. An email sent early this week to adobe was never answered so the support is not impressing me...it took me an hour on hold to find out it was back-ordered, they wont respond to emails, they were not prepared for the obvious demand.

So I feel like there is manipulation going on here...don't try the demo or we'll really make you wait...of course you can get it right way by downloading it...but you wont get a book...I feel that this is not the good business I like to deal with.

The comment was made earlier in the thread about Syntrillium and how being sold to a big company would effect their fine product...I must say that I think Adobe being so large really doesn't care about the customer at all...so imo the get an "F" in transition.

When FL6 came out I was one that felt it was wrong the boxed version was in the stores before the download was available for their loyal customers. But that was different because it was a free update, this I paid for.

So in the long run I see a downhill path from 1.0>2.0 (the fact that 1.5 had half-assed vst support is lame imo) and I will take all this into account when the next time comes around, or in between as new products come out, I might start with someone new.

Yes I'm glad I'm getting this update, it does fix some of my problems (though they really didn't do a whole lot to improve the vst support, just fortunate for me that the Sonar wrapper fixes the problems in this version), now I have paid the same for it as joe schmo, but I have been on board since day one (and suggesting it to many people). So now they will really have to go over the top to sell me 2.5, in fact I likely will move on to something else because imo the move to Adobe is showing too many signs of the big company not having the loyalty and drive that a smaller company would have.

To sum it up, I am not happy with Adobe, but I am pleased with Audition 2.0...

Sorry to hear about your dad - that must be stressful.

Regarding the installation... when you uninstall the demo version (which you should do first) there is an option to keep the preferences you have already set. This will save you some time once you have the full programme installed

Have fun :)

thanx headquest...:)

how about I drop it by...;)

BTW I don't think I won any points with the DHL driver  He walks up all smiles (I was on the way out, he'd of been better off had he missed me and ealt with the wife), "hello how are you?"...I responded with "terrific, the web page said this was going to be delivered yesterday, I spent the last two days waiting or having someone wait for me"...he says "well I hope you don't blame me"... I said "of course not, but I would like one day to see all those yellow trucks painted brown." He then just got all serious and said "sign here"...so I did and said "besides, it's 3:30 on a Friday afternoon and my day just got better, and of course I know what traffic you still have to sit through to get home, but do have a good night"...he grumbled as he walked away...just to get back to his warehouse would take an hour plus, but any direction from there is bumper to bumper until at least 7:00pm....:hihi:
