Ya know, sometimes peoples generosity truly blows my mind. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication. I thought SoundFonts were an old, dead and low quality thing I would never look back upon, but I am super impressed with what you have come up with here and the fact that you have provided it for free.
Thank you SonicFire and best wishes in all you do.

Yes, sfz+, sorry. Not newer SF2 files, rather some quite old ones -- for instance, demos from the Digital Sound Factory.sonicfire wrote:what's sfx+? you mean sfz+?
thanks for letting me know, are these newer soundfonts or something? v2.4?
(I also reported this before on an earlier version.)

Thanks so much, Dennis! This is _really_ important for me. You have always gone the extra mile (or two) for me and that is just super!!!!

Wow, tried the latest version with the browser and everything is working so well.
Just one click to load a soundfont is really how it should be and why I still cling to the buggy Shortcircuit2 as all the others are so clunky.
Everything is understandable and with some very useful features. A real joy to use.
My only wish was that the browser remembered where it was but I see that might come next release.
And as also pointed out by others can't unload layers with the button, but other than that working light and flawlessly.
Anyway, thx a lot for this. My go-to Sf2 player for sure.

The browser thing is easy to implement i think. Will come in the next update

I've been keeping up with this thread, DL'd it and everything sounds fine so far. Thanks for your work on this!
It may have been mentioned before but I'm having some issues in loading other SF's besides from your included library. If I load a soundbank file (that has more than one soundfont in it)I can't figure out how to change to these different presets. It will load the single SF's fine for me but not the multi's. Also, when searching the c: drive I get to the area where my SF's are stored and it shows all the other files but not the one that has my SF's in it! So, I moved some of those SF's over into the Phenomedata folder and it then shows my SF's (all sf2) but it shows some with .sf2 extensions on their names and others without. It will only play the ones that list .sf2 after them. I don't have any of these problems loading these SF's into SFZ+, Terry West's Take 1, or Shortcircuit. Is there something I'm overlooking?
Thanks again for your hard work and generosity!

You can access/change built-in presets from a soundfont by simply clicking on the preset name here:

Sometimes when loading a soundfont this field doesn't change. This only means the first preset in the soundfont is not on slot zero! Clicking it should update it and show the "first" available soundfont.
EDIT: The same can happen to different soundfont banks! (the "0" to the left in the picture above)
This is also on my todo-list (jumping to the first sf2 preset automatically).
Concerning browsing: Phenome only shows soundfonts with proper *.sf2 extension, yes! (Its simply a file filter).
(Or could it be that you accidentally were browsing in "Preset"-mode? Then Phenome only shows *.phe-presets!)
And Thanks for playing with Phenome

Oh, as a "temporary" solution - you can always load the "0Init" preset - that resets all current layer settings and also loads an empty SF2 fileV'ger wrote: And as also pointed out by others can't unload layers with the button, but other than that working light and flawlessly.
