I person I spoke to last week from NI confirmed the new Softube/NI Premium Tube series will be part of K9,I'm not sure which version it will be included in(K9U ?)

If he knows it will be included, then it shouldn't be too much longer for an announcement.

Right?
I believe the K8 sale is still ongiong throughout the month.. will be october at earliest.. they wouldn't announce a newer version of a current product they are trying to dump in a sale.

Here's hoping that comes to pass and if it does, is as good as we'd hope. The Scarbee collaboration has been fruitful and quite pioneering, maybe they have something. Pop / Big Band / Jazz horns are still an area of weakness for samples (far more than orchstral imo), I think it needs something quite out of the box to be useful. Say, something like Funk Guitarist... Funk Brass... hmmm....

October only a week away...

Hi Guy,
I was telling him about my intention to import old horn sample horn section (loop)libraries into Kontakt or Maschine because all of the current horn libraries I've used or checked out sound horrible to me comparatively, when I told him this he said you should see this new library that's coming w/K9U.
This surprised me and he works for NI ,so I do think this is very reliable info.
I don't know if Komplete9 is coming that soon as they're launching Maschine October 1st,what seems more plausible to me is a November launch for Komplete9 so they don't conflict with the new Maschine release and still maximize the holiday sale period for both product lines.

Hi,

Before they even released the Abbey Road 60s Drums there was
a promotional video that visually hinted that there might be some
Abbey Road keyboards in the pipeline. The Propellerhead Software
did discontinue their Abbey Road Keyboards Refill
some time after. Will Abbey Road related series continue with keyboards?
Hey it is number 9, the favourite of John Lennon.

in the words of the late, great James Brown... i wish NI would "come on with the come on"...

with the new maschine... the new 1.8 maschine update... the new tube effects... i have $200 that is burning my pockets... I WANT MY K9U NOW!!!

hopefully... my prayers will be answered Oct 1, 2012!!!

Now if they could get the Solid Mix Series, Vintage Compressors, Transient Master and Reflektor effects out of Guitar Rig, that would be great !

i would have to agree with this... but... i guess the rack paragon is where it is at in 2012... i.e. Reason, T-Racks, the new Nomad product, etc...

but if they add the new tube effects... it may make a session a little more manageable having those effects in the Guitar Rig Rack...

but if you mix and match other products with NI effects i could totally understand where you are coming from...

I just received October Musician's Friend Catalog hoping for an announcement ... but they're still selling Komplete 8. Same with all my current music related subscriptions. Release date for K9 may be awhile longer than latest speculation.

Post

Agreed. I think it's going to be a while. Maschine mkII is probably about all they can handle right now, they're giving away free massive's....

but the new FX does say "komplete FX" so, who really knows.

NI is releasing Maschine & 1.8 ,
October 1st,I doubt from a marketing perspective they'd release Komplete 9 at the same time,November would make sense though.
Build up presence & momentum in the marketplace and maximize the Holiday sales period.

So my guess is K9 in November.

I think it could still make sense if they improved the workflow features, like adding a mixer section that had IN/OUT levels/sliders, mod matrix, custom effects templates, that sort of thing. Not to mention get rid of all the lousy effects like their flangers, etc. and replace with quality stuff that can compete with Uhbik, etc. and a new advanced metering plug  Then it could function as a cool effects center in your DAW.

i'm "smelling" a security issue using the service center online on windows 7.
i for myself will never be using online activation and updating ni products online again.

Post

The only time I've ever had a real issue with NI was when I first joined this forum. Not really a surprise tbh, but the point is I don't understand the fuss with NI's online registration? Mac, PC, xp, vista, win7, 32 bit, 64 bit........I've never had an issue. And, it's MUCH better even now! Now, you just register the damn stuff and walla! (didn't you used to have to unregister and so on?? )

i said i "smell" a security issue= a security HOLE.

edit:

to be fair, after a fresh install my computer works much better, like multicore handling/throttling and other smaller things.
i think it's because of several bios updates i've done on this new machine.
i had a problem loading more than 4 four instances of kontakt.
so i definitely can't say if it was a security issue, although i feel much better to not go online.
despite the installations.

I think you overloaded your RAM. (Especially if you use FL)
I have Win 7 64 bit A8 processor with 8 Gb RAM and I don't think I'd even attempt 4 instances of Kontakt. I know it will take 3 Omnisphere's before it wheezes...
