No problem.
Will you release it after your new effect plug-in?
(he asked knowingly... )

Post

I want to release the effect after the update. Hope to do all of that soon.

Post

Don't worry about it! Was just being curious. Thanks for keeping us up to date :)

Diversion as is, is already a blast!

Post

Thanks guys! I'll keep you updated.

Post

Even if you're not 100% sure, do you think the update (and special sale :)) will be this month?

Post

Personally, I would say release it when you're ready and only when you're ready. Though don't wait too too long! I hope that when an update is finally available that you might consider sending out an email to all users... or some sort of newsletter announcement.
Available on iTunes, Amazon, etc.

Post

Of course he should release it only when it's ready, but I must plan my music budget in advance. If he's not releasing it this month there's other plugins I can get in the meantime.

Post

+1 to that! I'm also being very careful with my budget these days. :)

Yes, no need to compromise on such a GREAT synth. Good things come to all those in time .... :)

Post

Hey guys, I don't think the update will be ready this month. Some sort of newsletter would be really good, I'll think on it. Thanks

I just tried this synth out... Pretty impressive. But, on my old Macbook C2 duo it redlines the cpu a lot. Which is not surprising as old as it is. But I have to say, that it sounds much bigger than most other cpu efficient synths I currently have so that's maybe not a bad thing. I'm wondering has the full version been optimized more than the OSX demo I DLd? Obviously I need a new computer anyway but I though I'd check as this synth is pretty awesome...

Thanks! :)

The demo is the same as when you'd have the full version (even the download is the same, only difference being the keyfile somewhere on your HD). I went from a C2D to an i5 (MBP to MBA) and there's a noticeable improvement, but it remains quite heavy on the CPU. Definitely not a synth for every track, but gorgeous nonetheless.
Dmitry stated once that CPU optimisations were not a possibility, so I guess you'd have to take it for what it is... If you can live with that, then it's a sounddesigners dream.

Yes, I did my best to improve CPU load. I've been reviewing performance now and then, and, for example, the next update will inculde little optimization for oscillators, which reduces CPU usage by an almost unnoticeable amount. Really I can't optimize the plugin better than it is now :(

And yes, thanks BDeep, demo version is the same as full one, except for demo noise.

Maybe reducing cpu load by spreading some multicore wizardry?
No band limits, aliasing is the noise of freedom!

I have to say this synth makes some other big synths seem positively thin sounding. I thought I was imagining it at first but it's BIG. Really a monster soundwise and for programming. May have to spring for this one... after purchasing new computer of course. But I need to do that anyway... 8)
