See my reply above - use the arrow keyshibidy wrote:I like to make templates and then rename them later. I just goes dead, leaving you to rename every track with a vst in it separateI have an impulse 49 apparently that is part of the problem (though even with it dissengauged, I have the issue win7x64)

That's very practical, although I always rename my tracks as soon as I add one.
You'd think these are the kind of bugs that'd be easy to fix.

Today is the today I'm pulling the trigger, I just did not have the cash when it was released or time to do the seemingly waste of time/missed opportunities on Ableton's part beta make sure its working, Still the demo has been alright. I have only to gain by updating really.
So once I have it installed and checked it out more depth might be happy, Might not be or indifferent
Going from Live 8 Suite + M4L, I'm seeing the Glue as a good £70 of fine compression for starters, Session clip automation and a different shade of grey worth the punt. No Push though for me as I just can not justify it with the way I use Live but it does seem very damned good. Thanks for the info on this thread from fellow users
All the best as always

Doesn't work here. I'm on PC.samsam wrote:On a Mac after renaming a track using command r I move to rename other tracks using the arrow keys
The point is, it's a confirmed bug and to the best of my knowledge has not been fixed. That was way back in the beta stages and it's like since not everyone is effected, those of us who are are shit outta luck.
BTW, it works w/o issue in live 8.4

I don't think so, but it did cause a couple of crashes with IK AT. I think I've only had 4 or 5 crashes with 9 and that was beta testing as well. You can always just kill indexing at startup if you are worried. (I always kill mine when streaming and having live open, they don't like each other much)

They've pretty much said this ain't gonna happen.tooneba wrote:I heard 9's indexer is potential cause of HD crash. So I'm still keeping away from version 9 until they offer the option to turn off index.
No crashes here but they've said they're working on optimising the process.

Should be the Tab key not the arrow key, and yes it's a bug.hibidy wrote:Doesn't work here. I'm on PC.samsam wrote:On a Mac after renaming a track using command r I move to rename other tracks using the arrow keys

I'm not talking about other companies', nor IK's. I don't think they have offered other way to practically use browser w/o indexing.I don't think so, but it did cause a couple of crashes with IK AT. The guy tested on 2 HD and both got hardware failure agter the indexing. I don't know it was coincidence, but, at least for me, I don't want to bet for the time being as my computer runs safely now. They've pretty much said this ain't gonna happen.

Yea at first I thought the same way as you said. But users claim the indexer is behaving clearly differently from OS's, and continuously drilling HD to maintain browser useable.
