This may have already been mentioned earlier. Native Instruments should have released Komplete 10.3 or 10.5 which included Reaktor 6. And at the same time sell R6 as an individual purchase. This would have been a win-win situation for their fan club which includes me.
I have K8 and have not moved up to K9 or K10. For me to do so requires that Kontakt 6 or Absynth 6 be part of a Komplete package. And yes Reaktor 6 also as I am just beginning to play around with it.
At $50 upgrade to K10.5 for k8, K9 and K10 owners I would instantly be a buyer. At $100 I would expect a discount to upgrade from K10.5 to K11, as K11 would already have Reaktor 6. Is my math correct here? Stienberg IIRC got $50 to the PadShop for Cubase owners and for those that had it got a special price to unpgrade to the next major Cubase version..

Yeah, I think it's kind of late isn't it? It's all down to whether you're confident buying Reaktor 6 before Komplete 11 is really worth it to you. At some points I considered grabbing Emotive Strings, just because I really like the sound, but to me that's more an example of something I could wait for, whereas full Reaktor and Kontakt point upgrades will not. But that's just me.EvilDragon wrote:That'd never happen.

We're just minnows,so we don't get to call the shots here or dictate the terms and conditions...
Postulating and expecting something - almost as a sense of entitlement - can lead to disappointment
NI have a development plan and a business plan and they will do what they do with ruthless efficiency...
I suppose you go always go to Berlin and do your song and dance under their office windows...
That would give them a little entertainment during their coffee breaks

One word of advice for da Kid...
If you do decide to take your song and dance routine to Berlin,it's probably better not to turn up in winter...
It can be a little chilly tin Berlin at that time of year,so you'd have to have to have some pretty up tempo dance steps or you'll be singing soprano in no time flat
It would be better for you to just wait for Komplete 11 like a good minnow

really tiring with all this "it should be included in K10" nonsense. what f'ing planet are you people on? they just had a 50% off upgrade to K10 over the summer, and now people think they should just toss in R6 for free? what would be the incentive for people to buy K11? oh, you'll do them a favor and buy "once they include Kontakt 6, Absynth 6", etc... gtfo.Kalamata Kid wrote:This may have already been mentioned earlier. AFAIK NI has never released purchased dot releases (or even upgrade releases) of Komplete.
Just sit tight and wait for Komplete 11.

I am a Ultimate 10 user but bit the bullet and made the upgrade rather than wait....did it with a xgrade from machine I had, so if they give it away as part of Komplete 11 I will have a version to sell (and plenty of takers I think!)
First impressions- I am blown away with blocks, I am a modular user (4 ful racks!) and I seriously think blocks is the closed I have seen with software in terms of sounds, flexibility and ease of use (no manual needed to throw together a pretty complex 'rack'- just hit the user form and there is already a ton of useful stuff (inc. a 4 voice Polly splitter) and I know from muff wiggler etc that people are building custom boutique 'blocks' from the modular world...I think commercial 'blocks' could be a big deal for N.I., I hope they open up more blocks to people who own full version of rounds, molecular, razer etc....
Only downside for me so far is the lack of multicore support- if anything ever needed multicore!

I worked the whole day today in Reaktor 6 to finally get my "Midi-Mangler" usable, and I really have to say the update makes all the difference. The new interface is so much nicer and the new cables alone are a godsend.
And I even got my ensemble to work without hanging notes

So I'd say if you are serious about Reaktor, there is no way around this update.
Cheers,
Tom
