The two Repro's seem to work a bit differently:
When I take the init patch and turn osc 1 to zero, and on osc 2 I switch only the pulse on and set its pulse width to, say, 20. Then I switch the saw on and off repeatedly. On Repro 1 the difference in the resulting sound is clear, on Repro 5 the difference is weak, as if the saw just added more volume most of all.

Did you used the same OSC setting (tweaks page)?fluffy_little_something wrote:The two Repro's seem to work a bit differently:

Ah, ok, changing that indeed makes them behave the same way...

Repro-5 is easily one of my favorite releases of the year...
Great sounding synth.

They are actually two different synths, by default not at all identicalfluffy_little_something wrote:The two Repro's seem to work a bit differently:

Noticed something funny: one can kill the demo noise instantly by switching to any other Velvet mode

Velvet indeed seems to do something like reset the audio engine....?fluffy_little_something wrote:Noticed something funny: one can kill the demo noise instantly by switching to any other Velvet mode
Because it can´t be switched without a dropout.
But i guess the noise comes back, or?

I was looking for a nice 80s brass sound while working through the Groove3 80s synth pop tutorial, and Obxd just wasn't cutting it. Came across the 'CK Tube Alloys' preset in Repro-5 and .. well .. instant purchase

Repro-5 brass sound starts at 1:29. Overall, the track uses Repro-5, Tyrell N6, The Legend and Sylenth1.
I'm definitely doing a lot more track freezing with the CPU hit, but I think it's worth it to get 'the sound'.

I like the bass, which synth did you use for that?

The punchy bass was The Legend, and the sustain bass was Repro-5.fluffy_little_something wrote:I like the bass, which synth did you use for that?

I am sure Repro-5 could be used for the punchy bass, something like the 'EH Funk Unison Bass' preset would work great with a bit of tweaking the envelopes and filter.fluffy_little_something wrote:I meant the punchy one, i.e. Legend
