Looks like you should be good to go on the audio FX version in Studio One now after that updatednazen wrote: Thu Nov 05, 2020 10:30 amTHANK you!! You're the first person who's actually replied to me that actually said anything straight forward and clear about this issue. I suspected this might be the case because although I'm an amateur hobbyist I'm not completely stupid. I wish PreSonus support would just be honest with me about this and not dick me around. I do have an Ableton Live Lite license from my controller keyboard so I've already installed that and with no knowledge whatsoever of Ableton I was able successfully do this in a about 30 seconds. Don't know why Studio One is so difficult about it, I really like it for most things but between this and how they have treated me in response to my queries about it I'm starting think it might be time to move on from S1. Anyway, thanks so much again for your help.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Thu Nov 05, 2020 1:05 amStudio One is a bitch with the way it separates instrument and audio tracks. I'm not actually sure if it is possible because as soon as you try to add CA2600 to an audio track it creates an instrument track for CA2600 to live in. The solution - admittedly not great - may be to ask CherryDan if they could compile an 'FX' version of CA2600 so it can be added to an audio track.dnazen wrote: Thu Nov 05, 2020 12:19 am Since this thread seems quite active and folks here seem knowledgeable, a few posts above the ability to send other tracks into the CA2600 to be processed a la the "Who Are You" effect was mentioned. I have been trying to do this in Studio One bust can't figure out how to do it. I have had several back and forths with PreSonus support about it but they have been less than useless so far. I also tried asking on the Studio One reddit but nothing helpful there yet either. If anyone knows how to do this PLEASE explain it to me because this is driving me crazy. Thanks
I've had issues in the past with Studio One and it has big issues with routing on 'hybrid' instruments like this and it's horrible with the way it handles MIDI effect plugins too.
If you want to just tinker with something then I know it will work with Reaper so download and use that just to get an idea of how it works then apply it to Studio One as and when an FX version of the plugin is available. They have made an FX version of Voltage Modular so they know how to create that sort of a build.
Edit: FYI I have raised this as a request on the Cherry Audio forum.

I downloaded the trial version, using up some of my limited bandwidth, and when I installed it and opened it, I found I had to sign in to use it, which I am not willing to do. People need to know about signing in before they download and install software.

The FX version wasn't added through automatic updating withing the plugin itself even though I restarted Reaper so the DAW would automatically scan for any new plugins. A manual update worked though. Windows 10.

I use CA2600 within Unify from Plugin Guru, which can make it (and any plug-in) polyphonic. This thing is a lot of fun with 8 and 16 notes and the duty cycle is light on CPU. Not to be presumptuous, but I suspect that you would enjoy the other sounds that Unify is capable of producing.Tj Shredder wrote: Fri Nov 20, 2020 9:43 am And is a mind opener regarding duophony and eventually paraphony

I think the point about paraphony and duophony is the two notes can be ringmodulated and then processed through one common filter, and some find this opens up possibilities not available in typical polyphonic plugins.k-tronix wrote: Sat Dec 12, 2020 4:34 pmI use CA2600 within Unify from Plugin Guru, which can make it (and any plug-in) polyphonic. They can't , so I am here to stay
It's funny actually ,
First I get ignored and being namecalled by people like you and cherry audio ,but in the meantime every update has bugfixes that I've reported .
The worst one is mitchell on gearslutz (works for cherry ) , saying that the bug reports were nitcpicky trollish behaviour .
I call that hypocrit twat behaviour .

Keep it up, gent - I see your bug posts in Loomer and Modular forums here - you're basically doing free quality control for developers. You are obviously "pushing the envelope"gentleclockdivider wrote: Sat Dec 12, 2020 9:28 pm They can't , so I am here to stay

I have Bitwig as DAW, all what Unify can do is natively available for me anyway but paraphony is very different to the usual polyphony. If I would try to do something similar in the Grid it would be complicated. In VCV rack its easier, there I could even use more than 2 voices and do crazy cross modulations of all kinds...k-tronix wrote: Sat Dec 12, 2020 4:34 pmI use CA2600 within Unify from Plugin Guru, which can make it (and any plug-in) polyphonic. And the filter is now nicely controllable in the self-oscillation range. I am happy with it...

I finally got around to buying this a couple weeks ago and I’m really liking it. IMO it sounds really good (noticeably better than the Arturia version, which is still decent). The built-in mult in every jack makes it very quick and easy to patch. It’s nice having the same features on all three oscillators too. At $25 this is one of the best deals you’ll ever get on a plugin.

Hi All, been loving this synth since it was released especially the fact you can route audio through it, I did a track for OSC using 28 instances of CA2600. It was great fun to use and being able to pick any hardware emulation effects though mostly stuck to using Ableton stock plugins.
