Yes it appears Env 1 is hardwired to all three Oscs and the Sample playback Osc.
Oh well, I put so much hopes on fully modular envelopes in Vital. Ok, will wait for Zebra 3 then.
"zebra 3"...

What's a modular envelope?

Could you explain why that might be useful? I'm slightly struggling to see what it would add for the outputs not to be linked to an ADSR envelope. I am a novice though.

- Can one make a LFO freerunning?
Yes

Ah - thanks, somehow thought I'd tried that, but seems not. Closing the browser keeps the selection, but closing the GUI works - thanks!

Not hardlinking would allow the volume to be externally controlled (eg complex modulators), for example bitwig, without the concept of note trigger. Pretty hardcore though :)

Edit: responding to doubletap. Damn this forum is quick !

GUI is eating my CPU, 10% more if I have it open

Yes
Would that be the "sync" setting?
Somehow didn't occur to me that that would be freerunning but seems to do the trick :-)

Thanks and cheers,

I think I almost understand that. :) Thanks.

Wait for the free version and try for yourself. Maybe I'm just missing something but it doesn't appear to be possible to override Env 1 hardwired to all Oscs. Even assigning Env 2 to Osc 2 in the Matrix doesn't seem to override.

That seems like odd behavior so maybe I'm just doing it wrong. Having different Amp Envs for each Osc seems like such a basic feature especially given all the other modulation capabilities of Vital.

And we're basically working with a pre-release version so no telling what development the future will bring.

The thing with Env1 is that it can be delayed by 4 seconds, so there are workarounds within the limitations

As mentioned previously there's a lot of discussion going on at https://discord.gg/dpZxr98 Lots of answers to repeated questions

That Discord is impressively active for a single plugin, which is actually a selling point for Vital. Very smart to have a free option, guarantees a larger more active community.

Not sure if there's a special button for that, but you can just modulate LFO phase with Random (set to Sample & Hold style and at slow Frequency). This should give you similar result.
