Indeed, it is no where on the website now. :(

Absynth 5 is all we have got then.

Next time there’s a sale I’m definitely flogging ultimate and buying just Kontakt. 260+ GB of mainly filler and it looks like they’ve even stuck the prices up. Would love to hear how they justify a $600 upgrade price for ultimate users.

Edit: just realised that’s the 8-14 Ultimate to 14 Ultimate CE price, but even $400 has me scratching my head.

Are you safe?

It's a known thing that they sell it (sometimes) a month early, and then you wait a month for delivery.

Don't take it from me though... buy it, and then see when you'll get it delivered.

As long as it's not officially announced by NI, I can't see how it is released yet.

any info on grace period ?
i bought a boxed Komplete 13 CE upgrade still waitiing to be used.

It is indeed mentioned as a pre-order at Sweetwater. I think the release will be October only. The announcement is about to happen though, so at least we will know what we will eventually get.

Best Service surely will have it for "order" as well soon, and then you wait a month until actual delivery again, because they need to get it from NI, scan the codes from the box, and then deliver the code to you. ;)

They didn't even tag it "pre-oder" when I ordered K12 from them. Never again.

The only thing I have any interest in personally is Kontakt 7, I look forward to seeing more info on this as it looks like the only significant update...although a facelift and a few new fx sounds very much like what they did with GR...but if the browser/instrument organiser is better then I will no doubt want the update! I was really hoping KK would get a major update, maybe that will come now Komplete has been done...

Same here. Would be a pleasant surprise if it got a significant update, but going by their system it seems it would be updated only if KK keyboards get an upgrade, which doesn't seem to be happening in near future. Hope they don't do that going forward and improve the software where possible/needed.

Kontakt 7 looks great though.

so is Kontakt 7 is reziable? i wonder what about 3rd party libraries?

and if Kontakt will have Kontakt.dll or Kontakt7.dll etc. this would be interesting for me.

otherwise Absynth not available anymore? if so i wonder how long it can be activated! NI really follows the path to suck more and more, just releasing sample libraries, now merging with other products, not even their original ones and putting it into komplete, laughable, Kontakt 6 isnt that old and now releasing Kontakt 7 and abandoning more vsts....

Just checked the official feature-set, I'll skip this upgrade.
I feel they are getting cheekier as time goes by. There are no significant changes or innovation, just straight out profit hunting with stuff they salvaged using this investor network. All in shiny wrapping paper to make the distinction even harder.

Doesn't mean the existing products sound any worse... It's just, they could do much better with all their resources and market position.

I guess we will find out soon, but it doesn't mention resizable in the leaks, it says its HiDpi 'compatable' and I think only the new (Factory 2) content is actually in HD. I don't think it will resize anything existing, l (I think) it will just be a small box in the middle of a bigger holder.

Still one of the best NI synths and they drop it? I know the background of this synth and no updates etc... but still, here's hoping Brian Clevinger brings a refreshed Absynth :hyper: to us in the near future - Plasmonic is not quite the same. /shrug

Cheers.

How much sense does it in your opinion make to include a plugin in Komplete 14 which won't run on Apple M1 and M2 machines (and which will never run on those), and which gets no more bug fixes, and no support whatsoever?

BTW, if you're keen on keeping Absynth, there's a simple way to keep it: Don't upgrade to Komplete 14. Or buy Komplete 14 full version. That way you keep Komplete 13 or whatever version you are using, and can keep using Absynth.
