Speak for your self.
The update means that Bitwig probably isn't coming out till next year and makes me feel like I didn't make a bad decision by getting a Livid Base and waves Maxxbass on black Friday.

It also means that I can stop checking for Bitwig info until next year and certain projects that I wanted to do in Bitwig can either be pushed back or done in live.

Sounds about right. Cat hormones are raging in the spring so, let 'em loose.

I called it long time ago it wont be out before 2014. January is a dead month economically after xmas/new year. I believe like others a release in spring 2014...

Ofcourse this is just speculations, but your word is good as mine.

I am glad that they didnt release it, rather have a stable/finished product than one filled with bugs....Ofcourse software cant be "bug-free" but it should just work..

/me goes back to hibernation

Please wake me up in mid 2014 :)

So, it's better to have zero revenue than low revenue? :D

I would (respectfully) beg to differ... well... as least as relates to the states. Here's the thing...

Lots of guys have just spent a ton of money entertaining relatives for Thanksgiving and buying everyone gifts for XMas and then blowing wads at the Super Bowl and New Year's Eve parties. January is the ... "file your federal taxes electronically early"... month, to get a refund deposit quickly, around the end of the month or the first week of February, which also (coincidentally?) coincides with Winter Namm. :)

It's that tax refund wad the younger guys blow on their toys after having taken care of everyone else. :hihi:

Of course, if you owe the fed money, that doesn't apply.

Yes in late January there is Winter NAMM.. it is still a rather big deal. I expect to see them there..

Does who buys what when even actually come into play? Or will they just release it as soon as it's done. Because to me it seems that even if people are not buying a lot at the moment, it would be better to go ahead and release if you are ready, get the people that might have bought Live otherwise right now however few, and when another buying season rolls around you still get those customers anyway.

For me, the time of year will not matter in the slightest in deciding whether to purchase or not...

Bitwig will be sharing a booth with us this year, as they did last year.
