They could also beta test the updates and in fact I wish they would've done this. They then would not release 1 update every week but one that works every 2 or 3 weeks.
The master locks (filter & volume) don't work anymore. Avenger also crashes more often with 1.0.30 when loading presets. I think it has to do with the new multisample loading. Sometimes on preset change it starts to playback really slow and stuttering and then it's gone with a big a loop of the last audio-buffer :D Working on 88,2kHz. Maybe this is also an issue.

Just a reminder it's 2 months since the release and it starts to get annoying...

  • - Added the ability to store and load complete FX-Chain Presets. New preset button appeared below the FX slots. For the first time: use "restore factory presets" function to create the new FX Chain factory presets.
  • - New "Bypass" button added for each FX Page. This bypasses the complete FX Tab.
Love it! :party: Thx a lot!

Well, me not :party: They use VST 2.4 SDK and maybe also a GUI lib, so normally it shouldn't be a problem, it is standardized. If it happens in Renoise, pretty sure it will also happen in another host.

Fine, I will return here in 2 weeks again...

- v.30 still mutes DAW output sometimes while preset switching, but it seems to be a bit better now, simple change of preset already fixes it :party: No more DAW reset required.

- Sometimes, those Solo/Mute overlays do not appear anymore.

A damn fine synth, but also still buggy...

Also while looking into the .vst for finding a hint for the used GUI lib, I see that you guys use Pace eden copy protection ?? :cry:

Isn't it well known to massively slowdown the plugins?

C'mon guys... Maybe Avenger is just such unstable because of that Pace Eden shit inside?? Did you think about that? I mean, it will be copied / stolen / cracked whatever sooner or later anyhow... If it will be stolen, how will Pace Eden then help you? Instead why not focus on constant updates... Also for sure will totally slow down development?

Maybe you could obfuscate only in non realtime parts at least? Well, I don't expect any answer here, for obvious reasons, but jesus christ..... :cry: So my avenger is running in kind of crappy just-in-time compiler....?

i think urs from u-he wrote about that a while ago. it's not a copy protection, it's for aax signing. i assume they have some sort of batch process going on and sign all binaries such as vst too. i doubt this will slow down anything or make it unstable.

Unfortunately I deleted the former installer versions from my backup HD, the current version is a total crashfest in Logic 10.3, I can't even open the plugin now, Logic crashes right away. Here is the latest log:

Thread 10 Crashed:: com.apple.audio.IOThread.client
0 com.keilwerthAudio.VPS-Avenger 0x00000001486fd4cf libFX::libFXWaveShaper::process(float**, float**, int, double) + 927
1 com.keilwerthAudio.VPS-Avenger 0x00000001482caa83 CFXManager::process(float**, int) + 4723

Come on guys, pretty please....

Every sympathy with those struggling with these updates, but I can't see the point of posting crash logs here. Manuel has said many times, contact support with those crash logs. It's useful for other forum users to know which version is problematic on which platform, or if there is a consistent behaviour that causes a problem, but IMO crash dumps or reports every single time you get a problem just cluttters the thread and makes it less useful.

Also (apologies I know this is egg sucking), definitely keep previous installers, especially when they're as tiny as these.
