It has that.. (actually it's scale steps that I circled) and look at the pic closely, above the hand drawn bubbles left of the right bubble see pic..

btw lulukom, I did a video on the track grouping and you should watch it. Only because it's not quite like grouping in a DAW, more so for seeing the midi on top of each other.. like ghost mode in FL Studio or Reaper.. as a whole though..

it has to be a melody phrase.. if it is, double click it and it opens in the melody editor.. Moving back to the composition has a bug. Maybe we can get a bug fix on this one quickly, I already asked for an update just for that.

but, to get around the bug, you copy to the clip board, go to composition, select the track, then right click on empty spot of track to get the dialog and paste it..

haha very cool.. What you can do is select all the notes and the arrow keys up or down for semi tones.. would very very cool is to to add control arrow up/down for octaves..

As far as I can see, by double-clicking on a phrase in the track the Phrase Editor will open, but not the Melody Editor.

My mistake, in the phrase browser, use the new "Melody Editor" generator.. that will go to the melody editor with a double click. anything you edit/create in the melody editor and (get back to the track), becomes this new phrase type generator.

Here's one ya fix Attila If you glue two "Melody Editors", of course it loses the generator type and you will need to do a "convert to generator" from gear menu to return it that type, which isn't present yet..

cool tip.. what I was doing, creating a melody, then duplicating it on a lower track.. first track is violins in staccato, second track a bass. Render the second track/phrase then apply the flip vertical. You now a fairly cool bass counter..

EDIT: crashes when you open the melody editor, select all the notes and delete..

It have many features, great work. keys for undo redo or play and stop do not work. I have open rythm browser but when i switch to melody editor rythm browser is not show. I did not understand how i should choose a rythm for A B C or D. when i press the dice button many times the section on right side with motive A rythm A stay always same. how can change this ?

is it possible to lock sections, so it is not change with the dice ?. lock a section is realy usefull.

Alright!

My first baby steps with the new version 3.9b5 are in the Phrase Editor.

I notice that if I loop and start playing back the phrase in the editor, I can change the chord root and type in realtime and the graphics of the notes will move as appropriate to new locations immediately.

However, the sound (the notes playing back) does not change to match the new root-type/graphics (until playback is stopped and restarted).

Offhand, i would think it desirable for the sound to track immediately along with the text and graphics here. But maybe this is by design for some reason?

OK, starting with the Melody Editor, I observe that moving the mouse around the screen causes the notes to change. Would this be unanticipated, or by design? If the latter, some commentary on the why and goal of it would be welcome. Thanks!

P.S. I have a little movie I made to show this. It is a .mp4 file. Is this attachable, or could it be made attachable by a Forum settings change?
