Maybe it's just very rare situation. It's on Win7 64 btw. Thanks for quick reply :)

Please, could someone help? I can't get OBXD working under Linux Mint 16.04. I've tried both the installer and manual instalation. My DAW can find the linux VST, but puts it on the blacklist (Ardour 5, Mixbus 4). Some other VSTs do work (dexed for example), while other don't (OBXD, tunefish 4).
Could someone help me, please? Thanx in advance,

Stepan

Are you using 32 or 64-bit build? There was a similar problem with zynaddsubfx and it was because the VST version was only available as 32 bit and the user was using 64-bit version of Ardour.

I use 64bit Linux, Ardour (Harrison Mixbus) and OBXD. I also have tried the 32bit version of the plugin (just for the case). Actually the plugin gets recognized, but it's put on the blacklist by the DAW's plugin scanner.

I have tried in Ubuntu 16 64-bit and runs just fine, so it should be the same for Linux Mint.

Make sure you are using the version provided from Ardour website https://community.ardour.org/download

Yes, I am. But thank you for your care anyway! :-)

No problem :) But it's strange Ardour blacklisting the plugin in Mint and are no issues in Ubuntu. Perhaps you are not using the latest plugin build from discoDSP? https://www.discodsp.com/obxd/

I have Mint 18, downloaded Obxd 1.4 from your link,
and it's not working in latest versions of Reaper or Mixbus.
But Vertigo, Bliss, and Discovery Pro are working in the same
setups.
The windows obxd 1.4 works fine in Reaper/wine,
where it's nice to access the many .fxb soundbanks!

Okay so it looks a Linux Mint issue that may be fixed by updating JUCE framework. Some time will be required.

- some misaligned text/boxes was fixed.
- added 2 vertical lines in the "Modulation"area.

ps: i will post a x64 build after it's finished
the image posted above is a little bit compressed by google +,actual plugin colors /text is better.
Can somebody please explain to me how I can use the knobs from this skin with the actual version of obxd? I tried to switch the pngs with a hex editor but the vst becomes unusable. I have no idea about hex btw. Too bad this plugin doesnt use these knobs by default.

Just chiming in... I used to have problems with OB-Xd in Linux Mint and the DiscoDSP version. Then I got it from AVLinux (perhaps the same source anyways) as a deb package and it ran fine. Not that I use OB-Xd often, but it still runs fine. 64-bit version that is. Which was previously not seen using the DiscoDSP version. Not seen by Bitwig.

Cheers.

It's not possible to replace knobs in our builds yet.

Any link for the .deb download? Cheers.

Hello George,

The OB-Xd VST package comes from:

https://launchpad.net/~kxstudio-debian/ ... hive-extra

I use the OB-Xd VST in Bitwig. Linux Mint 18.

Cheers.

I just made a skin for myself and I want to share it.

It took me ages to find the right pixel gap between those lines becouse some GUI elements are misaligned. I hope this will be solved in future updates.
Anyway I like the final result. I call it "Retrowave"
Enjoy.
