guys, please stop requesting things which are possible since version 1.0

what you describe is basically feasible with the StepSQ (Trancegate), or - when notes involved - with the ARP itself, if its set to mono Legato and legato speed to 0. Now, when note blocks are touching each other, the new note is played, without retriggering the sample / osc. This can also be used to play cool 303 like, "slide" patterns, when legato speed is set to a value apart from 0. Only touching blocks will perform a slide.

Haha, thanks. Where exactly can I find the StepSQ settings for mono legato and speed in the UI? I've looked everywhere.

the correct question is: where can I find the StepSQ (on the StepSQ Tab) and where can I find the Legato function (on the PITCH tab)
however, its always a good idea to take a look into the manual

Sorry, I don't meant to be a pain. I actually did look at the manual and found the pitch tab but I didn't think it applied to the sample start.
I've tried legato mode in the pitch tab, with the StepSQ also applied and it's not retriggering the sample start on each enabled step, just the volume.

Turning on legato works for making the ARP stop retriggering (what 3Side wanted), but none of the portamento settings seem to enable sample start retriggering for the StepSQ.

Oh yes it is working!

Best arpeggiator on the market is on Avenger

I can do 4x32 steps lol this thing crazy
