Bought it at the 75% off price, one thing I like about this synth is everything's right there, all on the one page no flipping back and forth, easy to tweak & find some nice sounds right away. Some of the presets I'm not crazy about, and saving them is weird, at least for my set-up but I found a way to make it work.
Honestly looking at that first gui, probably wouldn't have bothered to even demo it back when it was orig. released. Was using the "lime-..(something?) skin at first, going with the stock grey "dusk" gui atm but all 3 of the newer ones are decent imo.
License delivery & install was immediate & basic. Gtg right out of the gate. Bear in mind it's only been a few days but first impressions for what they're worth, I'm happy with the purchase. You can change sound quality & couple other things to lessen cpu hit, also a plus.

Why? He was already struggling a whole lot when he still had KVR publicity. Without it things probably didn't get better, to the contrary...murnau wrote:That's bullshit fluffly.fluffy_little_something wrote:I wonder how he is doing, without KVR publicity. I assume he is selling hardly any licenses anymore and might already have quit development.

Why must every thread about Poly-Ana turn into a thread about Admiral ?

Because the two are inseparable?
Anyway, just noticed this thread is ancient, Poly-Ana is even older than Sylenth1

Is CPU load still high by modern standards?
In some early review from 2007 it said PA clearly had aliasing on higher octaves. Is that still the case?

Ah, OK, the official release was only in 2007, but lots of earlier beta versions and release candidates.Numanoid wrote:Next month, it is 10 years since Poly-Ana v1.0 was released: http://www.kvraudio.com/news/admiral_qu ... _v1_0_7046
Officially Sylenth1 was released half a year earlier in September 2006.

Just the comments in this thread alone make me curious about the plug-in and the developer.

So, if the CPU load is on par with Diva, how does the sound compare? $44 US doesn't sound like a bad price at all.

The sound is excellent, workflow - not so much.W23 wrote:So, if the CUP load is on par with Diva, how does the sound compare? $44 US doesn't sound like a bad price at all.
YMMV
