Fair enough. Realize that Ben's busy with big stuff now. My own PMs don't get answers for weeks or months either.
I would like to see these removed from the database if that's within KVR's policy. But that's just me. I have no "official" stance on this, it's outside my bailiwick as mod.
I don't think it would do any good to ban the Crysonics rep who posted here. A frequent poster who breaks rules routinely might feel stung by a ban, but not someone who makes an occasional announcement. And it would break a line of communication, for whatever that's worth.
That's my feeling at present. It's subject to revision (flip-flopping if you like) based on future events, revelations, etc. And the other mods might feel differently about things; I can speak only for me.

I'd back up Teksonik, especially after what happened to me with certain "user accounts" regarding this issue. I'm sure ttoz would do so as well.
I also wrote Ben about this back in the day, but I never got a real response either. My last PM (different topic) got read, but no answer as well (which is why I was asking you instead).
I know that Ben is busy, but it's his firms site after all. And seeing as a lot of scams are coming up lately on KVR, and this one here (while to some not being necessarily a scam or fraud) sure dates back, ... you know.
It's a pity that the old thread was closed ("are these free crysonic native plugins updates ever gonna come?"). Unnecessarily if I may ad. It was meant as warning sign. So was my first post in here - but I was put into place.
I was about to write "told you so, but you didn't want to listen" in here sooner - but I guess others simply beat me to it.
Lesson learned the hard way, I guess.

Teksonik, try this: start a thread in Site Stuff. Make it factual and non-inflammatory, not filled with editorializing. Set out the facts as you see them and let them speak for themselves.
Each person who has actually bought and not got what you paid for (not expected or hoped-for future stuff) state your case and step out. Don't everyone pile on and make it a marathon -- especially kibitzers who have no stake in the issue but can't resist getting in a few jabs.
If the thread, and the posts, stay brief and to the point it'll have a LOT better chance of getting attention and action, I'm pretty sure of that. And if it turns into a twin of this thread it will almost certainly be ignored or locked (though unless it turns really nasty this one won't). In other words, a wise self-restraint will be to everyone's benefit, and going overboard will sink everyone together.

No, if Ben can't see what's going on now an obscure thread in Site Stuff isn't going to do much good. Maybe if a Mod were to PM him? He is the Web Master despite being busy or not. You'd think KVR would want to protect members especially new members from unscrupulous vendors but if it's not crystal clear about Crysonic now then I don't know what else is needed.
No need to ban all his sock puppets but I do think removing all Crysonic plugins from the database is the right thing to do. I don't think he deserves a third chance or any more free advertising...................

opinion/request:
This thread belongs in another forum because its less about effects and more about customer complaints, beef and other stuff. i want to read about effects in this part of the forum, and CRYSONIC APOLOGY is there every day, its just not nice for the atmosphere.
Can it be in the "everything else" section? or locked? is KVR a support forum for crysonic?
thanks.

@Tek: Your choice. However, I just explained that this is the obscure thread which Ben is very unlikely ever to bother reading, while one placed in Site Stuff would not be obscure and would be far more likely to get his attention.
@matt: Ben's too busy to read every thread on KVR on the off chance someone might have a complaint that needs looking into. If a complaint is put in the right place, that greatly increases the odds that he will read it.
@thankyou: Avert your eyes. Use self-discipline. Don't click it. Wasn't that easy? Warning: I've had complaints about you, and I recommend you not push your luck. No more warnings, capisce?

No, since this topic is FX plugin related. And it's not the only "Crysonic" thread in here either with the same back-story.thankyou wrote:Can it be in the "everything else" section?
Like the old warning thread? This one here can be locked as well, but it would clearly vanish in the archives with no chance of revival and as warning sign to others. You would simply pretend nothing ever happened - this would be in favour of one side only I guess. And that is not the customer side.thankyou wrote:or locked?
Hence the discussion.
No, but it's not an advertising platform for fraud/fishy deals either.thankyou wrote:is KVR a support forum for crysonic?

Ive just donned my flame retardent Yfronts.....
Ive had very good service from Crysonic from the purchase of the audiomidi nobrainer deal to date.
My plugins required reauthorising today, 2 of them used an automated web service which emailed me my activation key within 30 seconds and Spectralive (no automated activation option offered) was emailed to me within 4 hours.
I paid $20 dollars from audiomidi.com for Spectralivev3.5, xNastyv3 and SpectraPhyLE.
The deal was for 2 plugins, but a week after Id bought the plugs the deal was extended to 3 plugins, even if youd purchased the plugins earlier in the deal!
Got all my activations and downloads immediately. This was my best no brainer purchase yet
Just to let the community know there are satisified Crysonic customers out here.

I got their 'everything' bundle in that $49 sale they had (still have?). I really like Spectralive and reckoned that was worth the $49 alone - but all the others with it sweetened that deal up (esp. Spectraphy which has become my go-to limiter). This was despite reading all the bad vibes and woes about them.VariKusBrainZ wrote:Ive just donned my flame retardent Yfronts.....

Installed once and got activation codes within 24 hours for the 3 plugs that required them - Spectralive, nXtasy and Sindo. Recently upgraded my PC requiring complete fresh install of all plugs etc. The old activation codes for those plug-ins didn't work, so fired off request for new ones. Got new codes for Spectralive and Sindo within 48 hrs and nXtasy a day after.
Only thing I find strange is the c/r for what are effectively now cheap/bargain plug-ins.
Just my tuppence worth

You're my hero. Best ban I've ever witnessed. Guy goes around spreading misinformation and just in general making an ass of himself. I'm glad these guys posted, because I'm in the same boat: a satisfied Crysonics customer. I bought the AudioMIDI deal and later upgraded to the $49 everything pack.Redspark wrote:I got their 'everything' bundle in that $49 sale they had (still have?). Got the plugs up and running very quickly. I really like 'em too, despite the fact that I STILL don't know how they do what they do.
Spectralive is the best of the bunch, but I've found uses for the others too.
I saw this thread awhile back, and I knew there was some history to go with the angst. But I also recall that the new efforts from the devs, offering extra free plugs, etc. was meant as an apology and, to some degree, was accepted. But now in the last few pages I see Meffy is on board with a ban, and I don't know why.
Is there a summary somewhere of what this is now all about now?
Cheers
