My SH-101 miraculously healed itself after the release of ValhallaVintageVerb. So here it is, running through the Chorus Space algorithm in VeeThree.

If it's any consolation, which it isn't, I thought the line, the timing and delivery were hilarious. And especially funny, since I just assumed it was you, just being a self-deprecating developer and a disgruntled user at the same time. Too funny. Or not funny enough. I've typed too much. Sorry.valhallasound wrote:The joke was intended to be read as me, pretending not to be the developer of FreqEcho, agreeing with you. Probably not the best delivery in my flu-informed state*, so my sincere apology if I offended you.hibidy wrote:

And also sorry you're feeling badly. Didn't think you'd take the crazy idea of a special Led Zep Karaoke build of VVV into the extreme spandex testing phase already. Rest up those golden tonsils, Sean!

Don't know if this has been asked before, so here it goes: why on Earth is there no 'future' color mode in VVV?
IMHO, this is a glaring ommission!
What do I do if I want to add 4.5 seconds of vintage 'future' reverb to my futuristic Drexciya-inspired electro? Please fill this in ASAP! Thanks.

Well, of you want future just load up VR or Ubermod
I did notice that, in the presets, the color mode is represented by a number. 70s is 0,33333~, 80s is 0,66666~ and Now is just 1. So while there's no scope to get higher than 1 I presume (and therefor not in the future), I figured it should be possible to get to the 60s by making the color mode 0.
I did try it and it remained at 70s.... Although the color of the font used to indicate the color mode got a bit darker!

Yes, but it won't be a vintage future verb! And THAT's essential.BDeep wrote:Well, of you want future just load up VR or Ubermod

Back in January, my wife and I were talking about adding a "future" mode, but the concept I had for "future" was something I wasn't able to pull off from a technical perspective. The "future" mode would have eaten a LOT of cycles as well.ostfront wrote:Don't know if this has been asked before, so here it goes: why on Earth is there no 'future' color mode in VVV?

Being responsible for the naming of, and maybe even planting the seed for a Valhalla Vintage Verb in Sean's head back in May (inception anyone?)...valhallasound wrote:Back in January, my wife and I were talking about adding a "future" mode, but the concept I had for "future" was something I wasn't able to pull off from a technical perspective. ...I'd be very interested in hearing what Sean could come up with doing either a Future Verb, or trying to do something that maybe even shoots for realism over musicality. To my ears, some of the Room algos would fall in between Vintage Verb and a more realistic space, so I'd love to see those spaces covered in a future reverb too.
