If your CPU could handle it (and you got 49 fingers at your disposal...)

I KNEW men in black was real !! I KNEW IT !!! :-o

yes like Ingo said its real 49 voices polyphony Theo.

Actually its mainly because of the release. The first thing I noticed on my Vp-330 is that the release is HUGE ( like in veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy long ). So, like in a piano, the polyphony in a string machine is really something that needs to be looked after. Its is more CPU heavy if you play three fast successive 6 notes chords for example, but it has a reason :)
The reason being to CRUSH that little upstart CPU thingy inside the box !!!!
Financial solvency and KVR Mix as well as oil and water.

Actually it even seems to work if you use only the Strings with no FXs and attack + Release at minimum. At lack of 49 fingers i used my arms to hold down the white keys of all 4 octaves.

Depending on how you use the plugin (and which features are enabled) using 6 or more notes should be no problem, also when using FXs and long attack/release.
When using only the Strings it should be no problem at all.

Yeah and there is a very good reason for that.

Big Rock is an emu of an MK2 Small Stone, the one used by Jarre in the 70's. While the Small Stones Electro-Harmonix offers now are MK4 versions, with a somewhat thinner sound, that in some instances sounds completely useless. It is a subtle thing to be sure, but when you have them side by side, the difference is immediately apparent.
MK2 is simply more full bodied and sweeter to listen to.

I'm up to my eyeballs in VA synths but this might be too good to pass up. Would love to see a video demo of how Mathias Brüssel achieved those percussive sounds in "Hypnotic Cans". Are those using the vocoder as well? Are the demos using a built-in reverb?

Ordered. Too good to pass up. How will I ultimately pay for it? That's for the collection agency to decide! :D

Wow. Impressive, Ingo !

V+ seems to blend very well with the Phatty Ingo, very pleasant ensemble. The PPG demos are also very nice, very organic and live sound. :tu:
I made a few more audio demos based on patches i made for Xils V+ and patches i had created on my Moog slim Phatty:

V+ vs Slim Phatty - Part II

V+ vs Slim Phatty - Part III

V+ vs Slim Phatty - Part IV

Like in the older example (see my other post) this is a single instance of a V+ patch and a single instance of the Slim Phatty. The Lead sound uses ValhallaVintage Verb as an external FX and the Stillwell Audio Bombardier Buss Compressor is used at the master bus.

Additionally in the first example the Arts Acoustic Big Rock Phaser is used.

Theo, did you have all 7 questions answered right?

Little dongle story. My eLicenser broke yesterday in two halves. The plastic case, I mean of course. The little plastic tabs which hold both sides together also broke away. The fabric glue also seemed to be gone. What should I do? I also already had the V+ license on it (and the other Xils synths). So I took the ultimate solution a human can take... :hihi: Took a hot glue gun and put those two pieces together. Now it should also survive the end of the world... ;)

Me too. 4 out of 7 right. ;)

I think I will use this one for the time being. It looks fairly stable now. :hihi: I already did this several times with different usb pen drives and usb audio interfaces and it works fairly well...
