or if like me you have a really old i5
I would only buy it if you really need a Plate reverb tho - not that it isnt good, UVI are a quality company, but if you have plenty of other reverbs it is not going to change your life for the better or get you those 4 trillion spotify streams you need to afford a coffee for breakfast tomorrow

BTW in latest times i don't know what devs did with this, but this is become a enormously much easiest for cpu than initial release, even in max quality mode. (I remember it was rather for offline render in Insane mode, now just about 6% !) Great job.
Edit: "Insane" mode and with modulation ~ 12-16% ; Medium-High quality with modulation ~ 4-5%

This actually makes a lot of sense. I'll skip. It was GAS talking.fairlyclose wrote: Fri Mar 12, 2021 9:28 am

I gave some stuff away lately (which feels liberating or at least it did for a minute). Thought long and hard about upgrading
- Live 10 to 11, decided not to
- Studio One 4 to 5, decided not to
- some iZotope bundle to Music Production Bundle 4, decided not to
- whatever IK Multimedia stuff I have to Studio MAX 3, decided not to
- NI Komplete 12 Ultimate to 13 Ultimate, decided not to
- Celemony Melodyne 4 to 5, still on the fence about this one
- VocAlign Studio to VocAlign Ultra, decided not to
So I guess I can tame my GAS from time to time. I can easily continue working on my music with what I have.

Well, can't say from the point of view the difference between plate reverb and all others, but for infinity textures fan it's definitely good addition to palette (for such money).
From unobvious thing interestingly affecting the sound here can note the levels of quality, that become sort of additional reverb modes.
The damping\eq system is also a bit unusual and responsive.
About the main quests such as the choice of material and its shape, I think there is no need to mention.
That was my decision too, there was two things: did not found any enough reasons in new v5 features (for my tasks) for 150 bucks, and i found quite useable experience upgrading between two versions, like did from Ableton 9 to 11, when it really starting to worth.

I use just one setting on UVI plate. I was able to get close to the same sound with Valhalla Plate, but still prefer the setting I have.
I bought the Meris Mercury7 pedal for the same plate sound.
But otherwise, I do find all the settings a bit overkill... Maybe that's the point in the end anyway. You can find the one plate sound you'd like to work with on a regular basis and then that's it. Never worry about buying another plate reverb again (unless you want a hardware equivalent).
