I always liked the right-click-assign method that Omnisphere uses. I know a lot of people don’t like it, but I find it so fast and easy to work with it.Ah_Dziz wrote: Tue Apr 01, 2025 1:19 amI always thought NI massive 1 did great with the drag and drop modulation. It was one of the first to do it as well (if my brain is working properly). All the fxpansion synth squad v1 and v2 stuff still used their little matrix that was basically text and tricky to read by sight which made it less intuitive than it could have been.zerocrossing wrote: Mon Mar 31, 2025 5:18 pmHard disagree. I still use Strobe a bit, and I never really find it easy or intuitive to use.Iva wrote: Mon Mar 31, 2025 7:41 amthe first synth to use the sort of drag & drop style of modulation assignment in a good way was DCAM Synth Squadzerocrossing wrote: Sun Mar 30, 2025 4:50 pm Serum was really the first synth to use the sort of drag & drop style of modulation assignment in a good way.
I don't really have a problem right clicking to add modulation or going to a dedicated mod matrix section and I prefer it over many implementations that try and do drag and drop as lots of them end up visually confusing. It's very handy when you want to set up lots of modulation quickly for a performance patch etc, but I'll usually end up fine tuning things in the matrix page and I don't appreciate it when there isn't more in depth editing available.
Anyway serum 1 and 2 do quite well with their modulation system.

I never had so bad experience with using services like it with Splice. They just can't resolve anything, the answers is so slow. 4 days left from the time when I start rent it, 3 days must be free BUT! I even didn't used it, just because it's not working and they already chagred the money. 4 days of stress, it's not a service it's a full sht!
p.s.
My post on their Splice reddit chanel was deleted btw, just to know you what is going on.

Any chance for a CLAP format Serum 2 with polyphonic modulation inside Bitwig?

As understandable as your anger is, they probably reserve their support system for issues like that. Which is their right.NatLife wrote: Tue Apr 01, 2025 7:01 am I never had so bad experience with using services like it with Splice. Sucks that you can't use it though. Have you installed the Splice app as well? Is Serum 2 showing up on your account on Splice.com?
From what I remember from discussions on Xfer's Discord Duda, when asked, didn't rule it out, but also didn't want to get into specifics of future updates.Any chance for a CLAP format Serum 2 with polyphonic modulation inside Bitwig?

I don't have more information than you, but the clicks and the CPU related problems this redditor is experiencing are probably related. I have not been experiencing any of these problem myself on Windows 11 (intel) .Some functions like the spectral oscillators are CPU hungry but nomal wavetable based patches perform really well.

I bought it from Xfer's site. No standalone option available. It'd be good to have, nonetheless.KTlin wrote: Mon Mar 31, 2025 1:07 pm I don't know if this was asked/discussed before as I didn't read quite the whole thread.
There's a discrepancy with the standalone version of Serum 2: on Xfer website it says that Serum 2 is "Available as VST3, AU, AAX 64bit" so no standalone version, but on Splice, where you can rent-to-own Serum 2 it says "Available as Standalone, VST, AU, and AAX". So which one is it? Does it have a standalone version or not? Could it be that only the rent-to-own version has the standalone option? I highly doubt it.

Would also be good if the spectral oscillator wasn't so inconsistently loud. Some samples I load with certain types of spectral morph functions clip like crazy. A limiter or soft clipper in the oscillator would be really useful.HOTF wrote: Tue Apr 01, 2025 8:49 pmI don't have more information than you, but the clicks and the CPU related problems this redditor is experiencing are probably related.
