Ok. But since the random modulator doesn't have a bias knob, so it wouldn't be the same as the random values generated by the drunk modulator, right?

Also, there is additional complexity/clutter in programming patches having to have double the number of modulators for every parameter you want to modulate with a drunk modulator and have a drunk start value. Falcon is generally very good about workflow, and seem to be very oriented towards that. With multiple oscillators having to double the number of modulators required for each can get messy quickly.

Thanks for considering it!

You modulate Drunk initial value with a Random LFO of speed 0 and voila.
I agree this increase the number of module displayed though.

Still not saying we are not going to think about it.

Just bought this bad boy and sorry I couldn't go thru those 2xx pages of discussion.

Question is : I couldn't see any vol control of each different types of OSC. I tried to create 3 OSCs within one single keygroup-1 with FM, Pluck, IRCAM Gran. Is there a way to fine tune the vol of each individual OSC?

Unlock them by clicking on that link button, then you can set individual levels.

I was hoping to create simple tweakable synth interfaces using macros. Which work great, except when something isn't assignable.

The big one: I'd like to create a macro that lets me change the analog oscillator type. So this way I could set up a few oscillators in Falcon, create macros for each of the oscillator types, and tweak the sound from the customized info page.

But apparently oscillator type is a no-go for macros right now. I've submitted a feature request to support. But does anyone have any nifty tricks for achieving this sort of functionality?

Use keyswitches instead, duplicate layers, change osc type in each layer/keygroup, setup layer rules for switching between them.

that's definitely getting farther away from what I want to do :)

what I'm hoping to do is set up synth templates that are tweakable from the info page. So set up N oscillators, with knobs to select the waveform, pitch, volume, etc. Essentially designing my own synth structure and interface.

Choosing the waveform is simply a time-saver. I could tweak that knob on the info page without digging around the edit page.

Switching to the edit page and looking for the oscillator is still a lot simpler than key switching stuff.

In this case, start learning lua scripting.

Cool beans. I wrote a script to do simple oscillator stuff.

It actually gave me a neat idea... creating adaptive interfaces. My script creates an oscillator panel for each oscillator that I've got set up.

Extending this idea, I could set up the basic architecture in the edit page, and then choose a script to provide an interface to the most common functions.

Pity a bit that Lua cannot create audio generators from scratch, would be very interesting 8)

Was briefly looking at the features today. Regarding modulation source (adsr, LFO, step sequencer, etc...) is there no envelope follower? Was hoping you could use audio input and/or side chain input as a modulation source. Thanks.

Thanks! Good news (for me) as this has reduced the level of GAS.

Keep in mind that an envelope follower is basically a lowpass filter.
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.
