Crashes and the like... be sure to remove the old plug from your tracks and re-insert. That clears out the VST host cache of what it thinks we need. I'm sitting here right now running 1.80 in Sonar 5 Pro with automation. 3 bands phase linear, no problems...

I kind of agree with omo here. There clearly is the possibility for improving good marketing attitude (although ignorance on behalf of the hearing aid thing falls completely on a few select here who refuse to read up on things and jump to conclusions, IMHO). However, the website, gui suggestions etc. you really should take to heart, like omo said, as there has been plenty of good feedback from the community.
Anyhow, thank you once more for a fantastic eq!
Cheers!

Well thanks all... I'm a bit at a loss to do anything directly about the web site except to change the design selection offered by my hosting service... is this any better?

It's sad that this is getting hostile again...
There have been bugs and compatibility issues but there has been a steady stream of bugfixes, too, and, omo, if you really don't want to "do [his] betatesting for [him]", delete the free plug from your machine and drop out of these threads, simple as that.
David had shown some resistance to accepting some of the problems people report, but for all the open blasting he's gotten in these threads, he's been more often polite than rude about it.
I'll personally choose to help carry on the beta test, or whatever this is, in exchange for the free 3-band, and do it gladly, particulary in light of how quickly things are being improved.

Yes, I must say that this somewhat amazed me.Frippertronix wrote: I'll personally choose to help carry on the beta test, or whatever this is, in exchange for the free 3-band, and do it gladly, particulary in light of how quickly things are being improved.
This just turned from a pretty buggy, ineffcient thing into something really useful - in a mere few days.

Maybe David is learning some things about wide distribution of software, maybe some things about VST implementation, and maybe when some of it seems to defy his own tests he puts up some (probably healthy) skepticism, but no one can deny he keeps attacking the problem and a lot of progress has been made. I'm benefitting immensely from this process, aren't most of you?Sascha Franck wrote:Yes, I must say that this somewhat amazed me.Frippertronix wrote: I'll personally choose to help carry on the beta test, or whatever this is, in exchange for the free 3-band, and do it gladly, particulary in light of how quickly things are being improved.

Not sure... are you talking about me - or was someone else here jumping in on the hearing aid thing? I swear, I read up on the system 5000 etc. thing way back when it was first advertised as using 50 bark scale bands (not half-bands, if memory serves - although perhaps I read it wrong back then too?). Don't think I jumped to conclusions, though - just missed out on a page or two.bmanic wrote:(although ignorance on behalf of the hearing aid thing falls completely on a few select here who refuse to read up on things and jump to conclusions, IMHO).

Well it's a new day and all of that, the suggestions has
been made regarding the website the rest is up to the
developer.
However, my word to the wise would be 'try and not do
all yourself' its admirable but it puts a lot of
unnecessary strain on yourself.
One option that comes to mind, is making an add (KVR?)
where you give a discount for your EQ10, for fixing your
website. If they do the pro SEO thing, with extra MYSQL
stats and whatever maybe for free? This will be my only
comment on this specific subject, if not further asked
for; and I sincerly hope fellow forum members opt to
do the same.
Edit, website now displays as it should on my 1280*960
Firefox.

omo wrote:Your web site IS buggy and letters DO go into black area. I'm surprised with your responce. Like you don't care... Also, on "hearing restoration" thing I see you'd rather go into a looong dispute then simply make it easier on yourself there (and on your potentioal clients). You need to learn a lot more about marketing then you know just as you still need to do a lot more to get the plug in its "ready" state and just as much or more you had to learn about VST programming shortly after the link to your website was posted here and people started betatesting for you. Teke it easy, learn. Remember, it was not buggy in your opinion at the beginning and if something then it was host fault.. You're all the time balancing on the edge of ignorance. Good luck mate, but you really need to listen more then speak. Take this post to your benefit.dbmcclain wrote:Interesting that you are still harking on about the web site. I cannot see the problems you report using any of IExplorer, Camino, FireFox, and Safari.
Who the hell do you think you are OMo.
This guy has done fantastic job
Thank you for the wonderful eq and please dont listen to omo.
