Elastic Audio? Why include a feature that's not even there yet? And why even list Apogee Duet integration as a feature, thats something that only caters to like 1% of the market. Apogee only works with Apple.cupertinofinezt wrote:

You can't compare Logic to Record, its an Apples to Oranges comparison. Logic is a DAW which aims to do everything like a jack of all trades. Record is a 'recording App', which specializes in the single task of recording but aims to do it extremely well. Mind you Logic doesn't do everything very well, it practically sucks in some areas.
By the way Pro Tools is the industry standard, not Logic. And with everybody else (non-industry types) I believe Cubase has a larger userbase than Logic.

Being "the standard" is not really much of a compliment/guide these days. There are so many programs out there now that all do cool things; things that Pro Tools has never had. Pro Tools LE is also flakey as f00k, and as such the only option is a HD rig.v1o wrote:Elastic Audio? Why include a feature that's not even there yet? Logic certainly can be compared to anything else out there that shares a few of its features.

What's interesting is that, with so many options out there, ppl still take their time to write 25 pages mostly to bash a program that's not even released yet. Go figure.

I forgot to mention the one vital deficiency of "Record":
LACK OF MULTI-CORE PROCESSOR SUPPORT
So you are not able to utilize all that enormous processing power from those Intel Quad Cores and AMD Phenoms. "Record" only uses one core, which means yet again Propellerheads are about 4 years behind the competition.

Funny how you take that for granted, given that no advance info/leaks have even addressed the issue. Why even bother to make up comparison lists based on wild guesses about products that haven't been officially announced?cupertinofinezt wrote:I forgot to mention the one vital deficiency of "Record":

I can pull info out of a hat too, look:
LOGIC 9
Color graphics: No
Audio tracks: 8
Tempo range: 120-140 BPM
MIDI in: No
AU support: No
Max number of FX plugins: 2*
(*=mono signal only)
See?
