The Fex wrote:Oh, oh, oh, AND one more pedantry point for me, because the answer to 07 isn't Song To The Siren, it's Song To The Siren by This Mortal Coil. And another nine pedantry points to me because all Frank's answers 1-9 should have included a 0.

So, hakey - the Dave Brubeck Quartet recorded Go to Sleep, did they? :?
No they recorded 'Take Five', which was in 5/4 time. I had also mentioned that 'some jazz would be nice' and 'out of time', an allusion to the The Dave Brubeck Quartet Jazz album 'Out of Time' in which the track Take Five appeared.

Yes, I mistakenly thought/misremembered that 'Money' was in 5/4 - mea culp... kind of fuxored up the theme of the question, but the idea that Radiohead's 'Go to sleep' or whatever it is, was my intended answer for one of the clues, and that I mistakenly thought that they were quartet, therefore I'm a complete dumb ass, is bollox.

Admittedly, I may well be a complete dumb ass, but that can not be inferred solely from that particular misreading of events.

Wait... Rufus and Jeff were an item?

No, never mind. I don't care. Must sleep.

I'd be interested to know how both of you got even this far....
I worked backwards from House - US TV Series, English actor in the titular role etc...

I'm confused....
hakey wrote:A quartet's suggestion to rest a while.
So, Take Five is a suggestion to rest a while?

No, never mind. I don't care. I'm going with Radiohead's suggestion.

Yes, in context it can mean take a break, take 5 minutes!
Take Five Originally, a short five minute break.
Ex: OK everyone. Let's "take five."

Relax, take some time off from what one is doing, as in We've been at it long enough; let's take five. This term is short for "take five minutes off." [Slang; first half of 1900s]

Fear of the Dark - Iron Maiden?

Did they do something along the lines of 'speaking in tongues'?

I don't know how, or if, that fits with the other part of the clue.

Nope, not Iron Maiden. Two of the clues are straightforward, the other's a bit sneaky.

I've spent my life in the dark, now I want to ride.
Back where we started, but I have nothing further to say.
